No thanks, I’d rather he ****ed back off to Saudi.

Would he even get in our side? You’ve got Dan Neil who comes straight back in after suspension and remains in the side despite poor form. Jobe plays every minute Bellingham and Chris Rigg who’s comfortably our best talent.

I'd of taken Henderson at the start of the window, but I think Browne coming in and Sameh (at least on paper) look great additions so therefore im the same i wouldnt want him at all now. Plus Henderson has looked really poor this season, his legs look like they've gone

I really like our midfield 6, obviously need to see Sameh n Aleksic play for us 1st but from what I've seen they are both very exciting players

Aleksic will hardly play this season imo. Chasing the game the other night and he remained on the bench. Derby at home, 2-0 up and cruising - still no sign of him, even for 5 minutes.

I reckon we’ll see him second half of season after Christmas. RLB seems to place great emphasis on players knowing his system. Which is fair enough.

I don't think that's a bad thing tbh, just give him the time to settle into a new country and league. He will get game time 2nd half of the season

Let's be honest if he came on against Derby did nothing quite a few would be writting him off straight away. Mundle got written off after a few months and is now one of the best wingers in the league this season

I can’t wait to see Salis Samed fit. A DM who was playing CL last season will be nice to have

I think next season we might see Aleksic being to Rigg what Mundle has been to Clarke this season

Regis seems to be playing down his chances of a return soon. Not ready for u21 football yet so likely not ready after the international break.

He talked the other week about players being tactically ready as well as physically ready, it was good to hear. He wants them to know the system. Our best performances have been when the system was tight.

One of their midfielders, Sarcevic, lives in my village and kids go to my kids primary school. He's walking round in a knee brace so a midfield replacement for him makes sense.

To be fair to the lad he managed to stay fit for quite a while for us before his injury. Hopefully he can give them a season.

Sunderland's Aaron Connolly challenge explained ahead of debut

    https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/s...ron-connolly-challenge-explained-ahead-debut/

ALAN BROWNE helped recommend Aaron Connolly to Sunderland – and is confident the club have signed a “top, top player” if they can get him back firing on all cylinders....

Browne played with Connolly with the Republic of Ireland, and while his former international team-mate has had his ups and downs, he is confident the forward still has plenty to offer provided his talents can be channelled in the right way.

“The club spoke to me briefly about him (Connolly), although I don’t think I was the deciding factor (in the decision to sign him), said Browne, whose prod forward led to Sunderland’s remarkable stoppage-time equaliser against Leeds on Friday night.

“We spoke about it, and knowing him from the past and having played with him, there’s a top, top player there. It’s just a case of getting the best out of him.

“He’s settling in quite well with the group already, so hopefully once he gets up to match fitness, he’ll be another option for us, and a great option at that. Even last season, his goalscoring form wasn’t too bad, so hopefully he can add to the strikers that have been firing already.”

Friday’s draw with Leeds meant Sunderland headed into the international break sitting at the top of the Championship table. They have made an impressive start to the campaign, although Le Bris continues to stress the importance of remaining level-headed.

“You can feel the positivity around the place, although it’s always easy when you’re winning games,” said Browne. “The real questions will be asked when we’re not playing well or not getting results, which will happen.

“That’s just the way the league is. I think it’s good to enjoy the highs, but not get carried away. Then we won’t get too down when we’re losing either.

“Whether you’re a young player or an older player, that’s the message in the dressing room, right from the top. Don’t get carried away, and don’t get too down. That’s the way we’ll be proceeding going forward.”

That's a really, really good interview. Hope the lad can put all of that behind him and become a hero here. Excited to see him on the pitch.
