So, the vastly experienced ‘best manager’ we’ve ever had, according to some, had a 0.2% better win percentage than a young up and coming manager…. Says it all really!!
But Jonny boy said your man was an upgrade.
Clearly not.

Why say “Your”. He’s not my choice but he’s manager of Bristol City so he’s “our”But Jonny boy said your man was an upgrade.

I want to add my name to that comment, LM is our 'Gaffer' and I fully support him and his efforts, Nige is part of our history, he did a good job for us whilst the then 'Gaffer' but his time is over, it's up to LM now to retain our support and move up that table. Why say “Your”. But you’re only partly mate. As you’ve covered an angle in that statement. You want him to succeed as it benefits us all, but equally want him to fail to say “upgrade my arse”.obviously I’m behind the team and gaffer.
But he ain’t no upgrade on Nige as said facts are facts.
Today he needs result and improvement if not I reckon he is a gonner.
What “facts” say he isn’t? The only “fact” we can draw from at the moment is his league finish last season after taking over, and the “fact” there is, he finished higher than Nige did the previous season, and he hadn’t spent ANY money then to achieve that.obviously I’m behind the team and gaffer.

you cant upgrade a manager based on different circumstances he is our manager with our squad at present playing in a league that so far, is far from being organised structurally , just look at the overall results ........................But he ain’t no upgrade on Nige as said facts are facts.
I disagree to a point Johnyou cant upgrade a manager based on different circumstances he is our manager with our squad at present playing in a league that so far, is far from being organised structurally , just look at the overall results ........................
I disagree to a point John
The top 9 in the Championship currently, with the possible exception of Blackburn, you could have got 100% right by writing down the likely contenders in June or July
From what I’ve seen so far we are not capable of breaking into that pack of teams or staying there even if we do
The only surprises for me is that I wasn’t expecting Coventry or Luton to be so far down the league at this pointThat top eight is the teams who will be there come the end-20% of the season gone-we are no where near those teams.
The trouble is it’ll be the same people that chose the next manager, we need experienced football people higher up. JL and BT I’m afraid is where the problem lies. The only surprises for me is that I wasn’t expecting Coventry or Luton to be so far down the league at this point
Should we lose the next 3 (Boro, Stoke and Leeds) which is entirely possible, I think the board have to act quickly and dismiss Manning unfortunately
But the trouble is, who would we attract should a new Manager be needed ?
We are competing in one of the most keenly contested leagues in the world and we could do with some pedigree
If Manning goes I hope the board will recognise the error of their ways in appointing a L1 manager with no Championship experience
But I’m not hopeful they will
With Manning in charge and if the tactics and performances don’t change we’ll bd lucky to get 50 pointsalthough only a DIY formula to do the forcasts my 3rd tranche of it came up with EOS ...... [ Burnley top ]
BASED SOLELY ON POINTS [gd means nowt at this time of season, till about game 30 !? ]
1 Burnley ………………. 93 ...............3
2 Middlesbro ………….. 92 ...............9
3 Leeds ……………….... 89 ...............5
4 Sheffield Utd …....… 85 .................1
5 Sunderland …...……. 77 ..................1
5 Stoke ………..………… 77 ..............................17
7 West Brom …………… 75 ............. 4
7 Bristol City …………... 75 ............................14
9 Norwich ……………… 68 ...............7
10 Watford ……..……… 67 ..............6
11 Blackburn …….……. 64 ...............7
11 Coventry …………….. 64 ........................20
Thats the top 12 3 of my prediction are bottom 12 instead of being top 12!
the 3 [ 4 ] taking the places of the outside the top 12 on points is are
Oxford / Swansea/Derby/Hull 10th
effectively "13 teams in top 12"
not this season we wont maybe after the break we see a slightly different line up... maybe Fally starting? He's had over 40 games in charge that's fair to judge him imo, but I can see him getting us relegated.
The trouble is it’ll be the same people that chose the next manager, we need experienced football people higher up. JL and BT I’m afraid is where the problem lies.
