So Gaza is in pristine fettle and the 2 million Palestinians previously displaced by the Israeli invasion can just return to their homes?

... and you think I'm the naive delusional one <laugh>

Here's my solution and it's quite simple - Israel just ****s off from any territory it is not entitled to be in under International Law ... then gets itself around a UN led negotiating table to iron out a deal that ensures sovereignty for both Israel and 'Palestine' ... the UN then sends in an International Peace Keeping force for however long it takes to achieve a lasting peace ...

There will inevitably be problems initially but hopefully not as much carnage and death of innocents as there has been ... and will continue to be without an International led initiative ...

I didn’t say it’s in pristine fettle. It’s a ****hole largely rubble. They’ll continue to get the aid they’ve previously used to further their efforts to kill Jews and it’ll take US & neighbouring serious countries to help re-build it. Volunteers from the cult of Palestinianism are welcome but may prefer to find other hobbies. There is no lasting peace- only a least worst solution that delays the inevitable of them trying it on again and repeating the cycle.

If I ever need any help drying paint I'll give you a buzz ... my point was that 1916 was the catalyst for booting the Brits out of Ireland - you said the Easter Risers were unpopular when Michael Collins, the chief architect of the rebellion, is regarded as one of Ireland's greatest ever heros ...

... in fairness, I do enjoy our exchanges <laugh>
