To be honest, I've never used one. Don't think I would. I have seen them used responsibly a couple times though. I used to fish a beat on the Tweed for salmon. The Ghillie had a dog that had the run of the area around his house along the one pool. About 3 or 4 acres. The access was off a reasonably busy road. The dog kept wandering onto the road. He set up a collar with a transmitter on the gate. Only took him a couple weeks to stop the dog wandering.
Excellent writing in Man U fan blog I read today - one for you remote............... "But, after seven months of sitting patiently and waiting to reel Fish in – the defender taking the bait once it became apparent that a first-team role under Erik ten Hag was simply not on the cards – Bulut didn’t even get the chance to enjoy his catch."
Usually find FLW articles can be a bit bland but this one is decent - nothing we didn't know but pretty much on the mark............ https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/3...-happy-with-cardiff-citys-erol-bulut-sacking/
Listened to him on Radio Wales after Leeds game - he basically said what he’s stating in this article. It’s so obvious where the problem lies and it’s Tan & his useless lackey’s. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...ws/tonights-cardiff-city-news-legend-29989682

Apart from the Goalkeeping issues our owner wasn't happy with the style of football played - particularly at home. Despite finishing 7th and having some cracking away performances the home games were, in the main, mind numbingly boring. We spent a shed load in the January transfer window, the owner got the stadium full again (after all the issues with our previous owner) and we lose to Stoke (amongst others) with some of the most attacking players in the league on the pitch. Liam wouldn't change and neither would the owner so that was that. Personally I wasn't happy. Just got the Club back on an even keel and now it's chaos again. And Walterball IS chaos - and not in a good way!
I beg to differ. With forty games to go, we need a strategy across the club to have us challenging for top 6. A pipe dream maybe but in terms of what we could do with, that's it. Are we the fans a bit complicit by not being more vocal in our fear for the future of the club? I know the supporters trust are trying to engage with the board but is that enough. I'm not advocating any illegal activity and I'm definitely not suggesting a boycott. In fact rather than a boycott, let's have some big home gates where the supporters can vent their feelings. For us now distanced from the club, we should be writing and moaning at those in a position to change things. The most frustrating thing for me is that the club could be fixed easily by Tan acknowledging that he knows nothing about football and then surrounding himself with people that do AND give them the autonomy to move us forward.
Thanks for posting TigerJools. Always good to get some insight. A related question. Do you have footballing experience on your board or does it come down to the owner and businessmen? We really lack any footballing nous on our board so lurch from one direction to the next, one crisis to the next.
it was a knee jerk from me and looking at a point in time Mr Drum. As you know, I'm all in favour of a footballing strategy, a vision, a roadmap, and a person to navigate that journey. We haven't got it, and as you rightly allude to, it'll take a big swallow of his pride for Tan to head in that direction. In the meantime, 40 games or not, we're staring into the abyss.
Then raise your head my friend. Or as they say in Brum, downt fall over until yan pooshed! If VT doesn't change then I'll join you in your gloom but for the moment, he has an opportunity to change and to give us a more positive future. That Kortrijk bloke is moving up the betting - some rumblings in Belgium that he's already been to Cardiff for an interview............... http://sportwitness.co.uk/from-belg...er-at-cardiff-city-after-wales-talks-claimed/
If I were Tan, I'd leave him there for the time being. It may help the Cardiff situation, but he would just be moving his current problem elsewhere. Not sure I know much about him, his footballing philosophy or style, just that he dug Kortrijk out of a hole last year. Pity he won't be able to bring Simik with him.
I think Tan would rather have a problem at Kortrijk than Cardiff. Not saying Alexandersson would be the answer at City, but the financial impact of Kortrijk going down would pale into insignificance compared to Cardiff's demise.
https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...s/tonights-cardiff-city-news-stunned-29999025 Which media do we believe?
The short answer is none until we see whoever it might ultimately be "wearing the shirt" on the club website.
