The only question I would ask of our billionaire owners would be - could they not float a few transfers fees from their own pocket? Like a bridging loan, until we received a fee for Clarke? I mean, we all knew he was going and actually selling him on Deadline Day (when we already have spent what we need to spend) might just have inflated the fee a bit.

I get the sustainability thing, but occasionally a bit of speculation can help, especially when you aren't then trying to buy players when every club knows you have £20m to spend.

Just a thought.
Or clubs would have seen that we are desperate to sell him because we have spent and therefore not offer as much

I would really like us to take a risk on Langstaff. He’s a natural goalscorer the league is irrelevant. I think he’s one of those that’ll just score and score no matter the league. To be able to sign a striker that has a load of goals to his name is what we need this summer
0 goals so far. I’d be surprised if he got many at all. League Two to Championship is a massive gulf.

I know their manager doesn’t rate him like as he kept banging on about not having a 9 whilst having him at the club.

all good anyway, we have Isidor :1980_boogie_down:

(on a real note I liked the height and presence he offered up top in his cameo against Plymouth I’d like to see him start there)

I banged the drum for him aswell when he was linked in Jan, for every Kevin Phillips, Ian wright or jamie vardy there’s hundreds more than just can’t make the adjustment to a higher level early signs say he’s the latter rather than the former

He’ll score against us now

Corry Evans still without a club. Surprised he hasn’t been signed by a L1 club or L2 at a push

He’s performing at xG level really. The goal Browne took at Portsmouth probably would’ve gone in. Only big change he’s missed is against Cardiff that I can remember. He’s going well
Looking from behind the shot it’s hard to tell if it would have gone in, Browne did right in what he did, he didn’t know what was happening behind him.
