The system needs bravery and the team did step it up a level today in that aspect which I'm sure he was pleased about. He obviously needs to try and build confidence and show faith in the players and the system so it doesn't surprise me at all to hear his interview.

I'm not prepared to give up on T.W or pile on...But FFS,that was a ****ing car crash of a post match interview.
Lovely fella. But lovely fellas don't do any good in football, unless they are managing Man Citeh or Real Madrid...Walt clearly doesn't have a clue about the English championship football and setting up a side to play at the required tempo. We're far too ponderous, unsure and we don't look like scoring enough goals to even grab 40 points, never mind 50.

We won't play like that for a month. We'll gradually get better as each week passes now as new players settle in, get up to speed, become available, get to know each other and what Walter expects of them, etc etc. And we've just played Leeds and Sheffield U. It was always going to take time. Can't believe the fanny comments on here tonight. Bit of realism needed.
How? We’ve 37 midfielders to settle in!

I do think it is still too early to judge this team and squad - as it’s the first game they’ve really had together and it’s a relegated side.

However, we look wide open in midfield - which needs sorting quickly. We also look like we have the same problem in attack as last season in that we get near the penalty area and then have no idea what to do next.

The next 3 games have suddenly become very key and will be very telling. I expect a minimum of 4 points. Anything less and I think we can put it down to an abysmal start.

Our decision-making and final ball is absolutely ****ing dreadful.

Maybe Walter isn’t the right man for the job. Maybe he is out of his depth. That being said, he’s not at fault because Belloumi lost the ball when he was the last outfield player, Mehlem doesn’t know when to pass in a 4v3 counter-attack, Bedia couldn’t finish a sentence and Millar doesn’t know how to shield a ball out of play properly.

Crap final ball, crap finishing and avoidable individual errors cost us tonight. We could’ve and should’ve scored a couple.

Doubt Tim will be going anywhere for awhile as it would really make Acun look stupid if he changed him after the last episode so we just have to hope Tim can get them going or it is going to be a really bad winter even if the sun is out.

We need 6 points against Stoke and Cardiff to settle nerves. Fin Burns at defensive mid is something I don’t want to see again. Not picking him out to blame as others were far worse but he’s just not composed enough on the ball.
Yeah. At least Drameh looked interested and had something about him. As for the likes of Giles its difficult to know where to start to analysis his performance. He's trying....very trying...but he's only one of several.

We're sorely lacking in the simplistic art of basic football. You just can't all pour forward and leave a 1 v 3 situation when you lose the ball,I've never seen anything so reckless and stupid in 55 years of watching Hull City.

I think he'll give Tim Walter some more time but if it continues like this he'll have no option but to bag him.He brought him in and ultimately he deals with it or runs the risk of fans deserting in their droves..

Poor night to be a City fan.
This is bang on Ric, the defensive formation in transition is ****ing woeful. The amount of times that they had a 2 on 1 or 3 on 1 was ridiculous, and if you combine that with the FACT that we don’t even look like scoring we could easily be rock bottom by the next international break.

It’s all well and good to say that some of the players don’t yet know each others strengths but having Macca playing as an attacking midfielder just doesn’t cut it for me, and I know that he’s doing what he thinks Walter wants but it clearly ain’t working, and looks like Walter and his staff could turn out to be a very expensive mistake for Acun.

Did I mention yet that Fin Burns looked completely lost in midfield? Seriously wtf has Tim seen in him in training to start him there over Zambrano?!

It is silly to have a winger as your last outfield player.

Burns looked genuinely lost pretty much all game. Offered us very little.

Giles needs firing to the moon. I wouldn’t care if I never saw him in a City shirt ever again. Disgrace.

Bedia is a handful but we dropped a clanger not getting a striker in. He should have got on the end of a few.

Coyle tries so hard. Always gives everything.

Very early days still, literally a brand new team with a brand new manager but it just doesn’t feel right.

Yet we have signed how many midfielders?
That was the strangest decision from tonight. Has anything been mentioned as to why he started Burns, or vice versa why Zambrano or Simons didn't start over him?
Well, that and keeping Belloumi on so long (or even starting him). I'm sure he'll come good, but no way was he ready for a start tonight. Unfair on him, and plain stupid throwing him in like that.

Tim Walter = German Arveladze.

Some of the worst football I have seen from City in recent times.

He’s not been helped by the **** show of a transfer window. But, he’s still way out of his depth.
