What do you mean fossie, it's all for peace those Palestinian farmers might have built a nuclear warhead in their back garden

It’s probably best for all involved if Israelis stay out of Judea but in the grand scheme of things and with the likelihood the Palestinians would go on a murdering and raping spree in a couple of decades anyway I’m kind of meh about it. Donald will be at the wheel soon to sort it.

He’ll have this sorted over a long lunch at the golf club with Bibby in exchange for a holiday home on the Gaza coast.

They'll be no peace in the Middle-East whilst the Israeli government continues to support and encourage illegal land grabbing in the West Bank...

*No peace in the small strip of land between the Jordan and the Med and the mountain range south-east of Tyre.

The rest of the Middle East couldn't give a **** about either side involved in the conflict. If the past 11 months haven't made that absolutely clear, I don't know what will.

Nobody in their right mind would suggest 'they should all just get along' ' but similarly, I never thought in the 1970s that I would ever see senior members of Sin Fein shaking hands and agreeing a peace formula with UK politicians... and before you start the bleating and claiming it's not the same - all armed conflicts over disputed territory are, in essence, the same ... and solutions can be found where there is the will and... more importantly, the courage to seek them...
Peace talks between IRA and the British Govt happened in the 1970's some thru 3rd parties , as has happened in this conflict . and a notably face to face on in the early 70's held in MP Paul Channons house in London and hosted by Willie Whitelaw and the IRA delegation by their leader Sean Macstofian / John Stephenson
admittedly it didn't lead to peace but fairly serious talks were held .

So Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houti's in Yemen and Iran are all located in that small strip of land? ... probably best avoid Geography if you ever decide to go on Mastermind ...

You can of course take it back further ... at the beginning of the 20th century the whole of Ireland was occupied by the British ... doubt anybody could have imagined that by 2024 there would be Irish Republicans in power throughout the entire island ... albeit in the North as part of the British political system ...

Very droll.

I referenced Hezbollah.

Tying the entire region's peace to the Israel-Palestinian conflict is as lazy as it is wrong.

Israel could cease to exist tomorrow and there would still be conflict in Yemen, Sudan, Oman and Syria if not beyond.

Because the wider regional conflicts have nothing to do with what's going on that small strip of land, and only a fool could be so stupid as to believe otherwise.

Iran wants regional supremacy. It hides that behind a faux benevolence that it is there to strengthen and support the cause of people who live thousands of miles away and have zero ethnic connection to Persians.

More Palestinians have died since Iran got involved in their "wellbeing" than at any other point in history. I can't see how that can be dressed up as a good thing.

There are far broader conflicts at work in the region, and I'll say it again: only a narrow minded fool would be lazy enough to pretend that the entire show revolves around two actors and that if those two actors become friends, everyone from Marrakesh to Tehran will dance around a bonfire.

He obviously meant serious countries and those groups care less about your average Palestinian than I do. Just any excuse to try and kill a few Jews.

Who could possibly ... Be so narrow minded ? ...

Just doesn't make any sense ...

Jews killing Arabs on an unprecedented scale, is what the world is mostly seeing right now. Even the Yanks are struggling to turn a blind eye currently.

Just saying…

They aren’t seeing the unprecedented levels those Jews are going to, at greater risk to themselves, to minimise civilian deaths in a uniquely difficult situation due to Hamas’ tactics to do so. They aren’t seeing the daily rocket attacks from Lebanon or the thousands displaced as a result. They aren’t seeing the network of tunnels underneath every inch of Gaza which endanger every person living there and need to be got rid of for this to end.

More likely they do see all of that but just don’t care.

You’re right, people probably aren’t seeing all that.

Perhaps because it’s hard to look beyond the mountains of dead bodies and bombed out homes, schools and hospitals.
