You mean cos they will kill every single Palestinian? The Trump administration exacerbated this conflict when it openly declared it's support for Jerusalem being the uncontested capital of Israel.
I’m happy with whichever route kills the fewest Jews and I’m capable of a slightly more mature thought than ‘they should all just get along’.
Nobody in their right mind would suggest 'they should all just get along' ' but similarly, I never thought in the 1970s that I would ever see senior members of Sin Fein shaking hands and agreeing a peace formula with UK politicians... and before you start the bleating and claiming it's not the same - all armed conflicts over disputed territory are, in essence, the same ... and solutions can be found where there is the will and... more importantly, the courage to seek them...
It really isn’t the same though. A load of Fosse waffle and random ellipses won’t change that. The IRA’s goal wasn’t to wipe every British person off the Earth.
All of Jerusalem west of the '67 line is the uncontested capital of Israel. Trump changed the consulate on Argon street into a full fledged embassy. Argon street is in west Jerusalem. There is no reason why that should have provoked the reaction it did. Trump isn't a politician. He's a businessman. That's all he understands. That and golf. And tits. He was the first President to tie negotiations to economic instead of geographic growth. You'll be amazed how people start believing in peace when their bank balance is increasing every month.
Trump would just be called up by Gene Simmons or something and be told something like "Palestine stinks of poo poo" and he'd change his tune. He's good mates with tons of Israelis and his daughter aka favourite child is married to one.
And yet he did more for peace in the region than anyone since Clinton. Bush, Obama and Biden all presided over an absolute **** show. He understands that money talks. Both Hebrew and Arabic. Fluently.
A big thing Trump did was push hard for the surrounding Arabic nations to recognize Israel formally. Be it through use of force or economic pressure. This likely is the moment Hamas began arming for an escalation. It's absolutely impossible to know if this event wouldn't have happened under the Trump administration and how they would have reacted. Trump only had 1 term, which in US politics is nothing, that's why it's so rare to have 1 term presidents, we simply do not know how Trump would have reacted to the events following his decision in his first 4 and a half years. (Every president uses 6 months purely for campaigning with very little politics.)
Fosse Waffle = the truth your blinkered bigotry can't take ... What's Netanyahu's goal fella - World Peace?
What he accomplished in one term, especially given half of it was COVID, was quite remarkable. His second term was building towards sanctioning Iran into choosing peace, and brokering the jewel in the crown of the Abraham Accords: peace between Israel and the Saudis. That last piece would have given the Palestinians a regional ally with genuine power and clout to move things forward. It could just as easily be argued that Trump losing the election emboldened Iran to increase its support of regional proxies, dampened the Israel-Saudi talks, and left the Palestinians friendless. If he wins in Nov, I'll be intrigued to see what he does. I cannot say with any confidence that Kamala Harris won't do anything that will make the situation worse.
No it’s the nonsense of a boring old man who doesn’t understand the topic, exemplified by continuing to go on about the GFA when it’s so utterly irrelevant to this situation. Netanyahu and Israel didn’t start this war. Israel pulled out of Gaza years ago. Palestinians under their various leaderships absolutely love starting wars, losing them and crying about it while Western wets infantilise them. His goal is to wipe out Hamas.
Fair enough mate. I think the last two presidents have been appalling, but Trump was slightly better than Biden.
In other news, I am glad finally people are starting to pay attention to the amount of arms that are flooding out of both Qater and the UAE which are funding conflicts all over the ****ing place. These people just send weapons to mostly Muslim nations so that they can just kill one another.
Yes I saw that Macklemore cancelled his Dubai concert in protest of their shipping arms to Sudan to enable what is basically a slow-burner genocide. I'd always assumed he was a one-trick pony whose moral compass stopped with the Palestinians and therefore had zero respect for him, but this shows both moral consistency and a large set of cajones. Good for him.
To claim people don't talk about and pay attention to American and European arms deliveries to foreign nations would be ludicrous. It appears to be a talking point every single day in the news these days, either we don't deliver enough or deliver them to the wrong people and should stop completely.
They'll be no peace in the Middle-East whilst the Israeli government continues to support and encourage illegal land grabbing in the West Bank... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c207j6wy332o
What do you mean fossie, it's all for peace those Palestinian farmers might have built a nuclear warhead in their back garden
