I had a weird dream last night, during which Hull City signed two centre forwards called Mason Burstow and Chris Bedia. Thankfully this thread has snapped me out of that fantasy.

They might if we're lucky get 5 between them. They're just simply not enough. I hope they prove me wrong and have the best seasons of their career's with 10+ each. Honestly I don't see it happening. I want them to prove me wrong!

Really hope it's a smokescreen too. Baz will mention a name from nowhere between now and 3pm.

Yeh fingers crossed. I think its the reporting around the transfer, never any confidence or real feeling we are trying hard. If you look at Kamara, all the reports suggested they thought a deal was possible and the player was even interested in the move. With Cannon we seemed to just throw out a bid amongst a host of other clubs, some more appealing than us, just never seemed very likely so I can only believe there's other stuff going for us.

I think the Rushworth signing is getting unfairly criticised. Yes, we have three senior keepers now, but the deal with Walter has always been that he is very specific in what he wants from his keepers and this is crucial to his system. You can't say you want the heart attack football and the goals but then say he can't have his keeper. He didn't sign Pandur, so he shouldn't be expected to rely on him.

Obviously, we have other pressing needs too, but I think it was worth getting a quality keeper in who is known to be good with his feet.

I think that we do have such obvious areas we need players in suggests to me that both Rushworth and Palmer are deals that Tim really wanted to do and I'm sure has a good reason as I don't think the brain team would have bothered with those positions otherwise.

Barring injuries I would imagine both get goals. Bedia has scored at a decent level and Burstow is one to develop. We’ve clearly made attempts to get quality strikers in. Unfortunately every team wants them and we aren’t always the front of the line

Yes I see your point. But, with 2 senior keepers already and more pressing positions to fill. Good striker. Good rw and Tufan replacement. A gk should be on the back burner and not the first signing on a crucial deadline day.

I hope they do get goals.

He's a punt who has scored goals in the Swiss league but did very little before that including in some very average leagues.

Our side was better than Union Berlin's last season and they've shipped him out after only signing him in Jan.

We need a starting striker

Does not mean he won’t do very well with this playing style and players around him.
