Summer '24 transfer window

Thought the first yellow was harsh. He didn't really kick it with any force and there was a burnley player walking towards the flight of the ball so it was more of a pass to the player. Just my "unbiased " opinion. The second yellow was stupid

 

I've been told that there were new contracts for both Clarke and Neil on the table.

 

Also sounded to me the way Phil Smith was wording it was that Mendy and Simic are alternate options to each other. Wouldn’t get both if that makes sense. But I could be wrong as he did say we want 2 forward but couldn’t specify whether that included a winger too

 

I think Browne will cover. Rigg to keep his place.

 

I also think Mundle might get caught for a few yellow cards, possibly reds. Seems very quick to react to challenges.

 

Browne will step in. Our DCM isn’t a regular DCM role imo. We drop to 442 out of possession it’s only a DCM for quick turnovers when we lose the ball in attack

 

I thought the first booking was dissent however , having watched the highlights, I think it was for kicking the ball away. A Burnley player also got booked for something similar.

Not a loss for me. Never rated him.

 

Always looks like he could be very good but flatters to deceive more often than not. I don't think he'd be much of a loss tbh

 

Not unexpected. Shame because I feel like we really never saw him in full flow.

 

I thought it was Jobe so I was as miffed as you at the 2nd yellow.

It was such a blatant yellow as well I thought there's no way he can already have one.

 

Big week this. We have a real chance to capitalise on this start with some quality additions. We have the funds now to go out and build on the positivity surrounding all elements of the club at the moment. Very interested to see how we go about it.

 

I think we’ll get a couple of really good additions in.

 

Like him but doesn't fit this system. Has a lot to learn as well, his pure talent will only take him so far.
