My fault im afraid... I'd said somewhere how we had managed to get through pre season unscathed... (we usually get one bigger injury)... unlucky for us on two fronts, he was playing well and if it came to it we could have got good money for him..

WTF is wrong with him? Something fishy about this…..

I thought this. Also, does a lack of fitness/training really take over a month before he’s available again? Even Connolly, who was fat as **** last summer and Rosenior was quite honest about him lacking fitness and sharpness, was brought on for 15-20 minutes in games and even managed to score.

Something is seriously not right with this guy.

That last sentence made me laugh. Rush him back again. Not sure we've ever rushed him back, if anything we pretend he doesn't exist for about a month before every transfer window whilst we sort him a loan move, and then when he goes on that loan move he turns out to be fully fit, at least at first.

Bit of a bugger if Hughes has appendicitis, what’s that, a month or 2 out? Might not be our most pressing problem area but’s certainly one of them.

Jesus, modern day players! Billy Wilkinson dug his appendix out with a rusty spoon and was back in training the next day.
