I read that he attempted to take his own life a few years ago, but was hospitalised and saved. Possibly why he took the option he did.
What?? This is very sad for everyone concerned. A lot of research must have been invested into the causes of depression and how it can be controlled but it must be impossible to determine the eventual outcome. My heart goes out to those who may be afflicted with such a debllitating condition.
Well, those last 10 balls could prove decisive. What could have been approaching 200 to chase is now 182.
Not sure it'll have any bearing at all. Except for meaning our margin of defeat might be 70 runs rather than 90 runs. We give away one massive score every season. The problem with doing it here is that it's very likely knocked us out.
That Robson innings was pretty painful for Middlesex. No surprise that it's ended with him holing out. We could do with Derby slowing up in their run chase (but whilst still being successful!).
Maybe, just maybe... (Annoyingly, I don't think the rain will last long enough to wash out the match.)
Well Derby have slowed up. But because they're losing wickets. Careful balancing act in that one. That said, this Middlesex partnership is hurting us. We need to break it asap.
Superchargers got a very undeserved point the other day vs Fire due to the rain - and it's that point which had them above us. So only fair that we've got equally as lucky. Great ball by Dawson!
Looking like we might be in for a rematch against Leicester. And if so, I presume that Holland and Currie both won't be permitted to play.
Looking at the Middlesex side and the way they play, they were set up to play 4 day cricket in a one day game.
