It was scrapped due to copyright reasons.

The Tyger - poem by William Blake (1757 – 1827) will be well out of copyright protection.

If the club wanted to use the poem and if a copyright cost relate to a specific modern artist – get your own local artist (Burnsy might be up for it) on a limited one off fee to record it. Done.

I'm sure that was the excuse given. No doubt someone on here will be along any minute now to put me right..........

Wonder how many thousands are paid every time they play Red Red Robin, Old Faithful or You’ll Never Walk Alone? None at a guess.

Copyright lasts seventy years, so there’s clearly no copyright issue and it was still played long after AP had gone, so stopping it wasn’t down to him.

There may have been an issue with the recorded version that we played, but if that was the case, we could just record another version.

Bingo.
Why aren't we still playing it then if it's that simple?

Ehab refused to pay for a PRS license, that’s why they played random local bands at half time for years. Won’t be a problem now thanks to Eddie.
Sooner listen to the 'random local bands' playing live music and getting some local exposure than the self indulgent racket we have foistered upon us at the minute. The only person listenting to it is the fella playing it.

Never in early enough to hear it. :emoticon-0138-think

I know its not all of them. But the North gets hyped up when its a bunch of kids on their phones half the time not making any noise. I know some do try make an effort but they need to do a bit more some games

I'm in North. It's great at times, but when the game isn't going to plan we stop chanting entirely. People are a bit negative, and I think struggle to accept that we aren't constantly attacking or scoring. Everyone's moaning and muttering to their mates but not singing.
