Yeah this was reported a few days ago. But apparently as of today, we still have hope he'll sign for us. Maybe he likes the fact we tried to get him in the last 2 windows. I personally think that kind of money should be spent signing a permanent transfer.
Anyone unfortunate enough to be paying for Nixon’s wisdom? Guessing this is a fresh story tonight so our Hughes story might be there.
Did I understand Tan correct in that we expect Conway to go to Boro but are talking/close to 2 other strikers?

Certainly sounds like it. “We’re in a very good state, we’re talking to 2 strikers at the minute, a couple of days away”
Had anyone else totally forgotten Maloney played for us? Even after looking at his history in Sofascore I couldn’t really remember his games.
I hope we don't, let's just have a building year and not focus too much on the table. There were clearly a few issues today, but there were also quite a lot of positives. Simons had a good game as did Pandur, Jarvis & Millar looked bright and Longman's had a good pre season. We'll probably end up with quite a young squad but we seem to be going for more permanent so we can improve throughout the year and plan for a proper push next year
It would just feel like wasted funds. I get they don’t want to hang about, but a year of blooding Jarvis after todays showing could see him worth close to 8 figures. He has all the minerals to be a premier league player so I’d much rather see him playing than Rak Sak yi
Lets hope Sinik gets fit soon so he can be moved on 34 games he’s managed for 3 clubs since we signed him
I've love us to go for Kamara or someone in that mould. I mentioned him before and It would be interesting if Norwich would take £3m-ish. Left footed, right wingers aren't easy to come by either. I think the Jarvis performance today and Longman being sent out on loan last year sort of proves that new players aren't always better. Lokilo was a complete waste of time and we probably should have kept Longman around instead. The year away has done Jarvis the world of good. It was great when the first thing Jarvis did today was run at and beat two players, without Delap and Jaden we miss that directness.
Very true mate. Norwich are a terrible selling club, I genuinely believe you could get Kamara for closer to £1m then £3m
I was looking at his stats the other day and amazed to see he's actually played 13 games for us I think it was. When the **** were they?
He had a decent run (did **** all in it) under Shota and then early Rosenior. He’s been injured every pre season since he joined. 3 consecutive pre seasons… he must’ve banked nearly £2m from us in wages too you’d imagine…
Does seem a bit classless the way we're talking about Hughes publicly. We seem to be deliberately putting the pressure on them to try and get the fee down. But then we've at times seemed a bit meek in the transfer market, having targets taken from under our nose and stuff. So maybe it's about time we started getting aggressive like other clubs sometimes seem to do to us?
It was bizarre the interview, Tan spoke of not being able to mention details but said enough for us to read between the lines on both the Hughes transfer and the Giles situation
Championship clubs do weird things. I was surprised Plymouth got Mumba & Whittaker for roughly £1m each. I think he said exactly what he wanted to say. If they're bothered about the bad PR with the Giles situation they shouldn't be, he's had a lot of hype but produced very little. I think all of us fans were getting concerned as the silence was deafening. Now they've been open, it's all settled. Looks like Seri is off too, I think it's a good time to have a refresh and get the remaining high earners off the wage bill. I never really understood why Oscar was recalled, I think he'll leave anyway as it seems he'll be the third choice by the end of next week.
My Wigan supporting mate says Hughes is due quite a large % of whatever fee he moves for, as part of the new contract he signed when he could've walked for free. Wigan are trying to negotiate with Hughes to lower that % hence the delay. Seems to tie in with what Tan was saying in his interview
