In an ideal world he has a good season and then will command a fee next summer, or even potentially a role in our squad. Right now, similar to Embo, I doubt we'd get a fee for him.
Good post mate. A top reserve league here at home where they could stay in our environment and culture would be better.
Would like to see Watson get a good loan move. I remember Harrogate was a good move for Jack Diamond, maybe we still have good links with them. Keeps him relatively local as well.
Well, the idea of sending him out on loan is for him to develop and to come back to us as a better prospect for our first team.
There are some absolute idiots follow this club like. I’m pleased social media isn’t representative of our fanbase in general, because the amount of **** being posted about Speakman is unreal. There’s plenty to criticise, but stuff like ‘forcing players out that have been here longer than him’ is embarrassing.
There are going to be a lot of clubs for us to follow to see how lads are getting on. What's that so far: Kilmarnock, Bolton, Salford, Blackpool (I know Embo has gone permanently) ? Edit - plus Harrogate to see how Taylor gets on
There's over 45,000 of us mate....no-one else in this league has that..and only a handful in the league above..but, we have to accept a small number of mentally challenged exist amongst us.
Still unsure about RLB due to his previous record but he speaks so well. I liked the information right at the end of his presser where he talked about essentially playing gegenpress. Sunderland fans at the SoL will love that.
Clearly an intelligent bloke. I like how his answers sometimes come from an angle that you don't quite expect. Edit - Some of his answers come from the point of view of being with the players in the middle of a training session and how they work together to solve different problems. Not the standard responses that the press are maybe used to.
I still think Mendy will be here after making the move so public. A lot can happen in 3 weeks. Also, I like his confidence in Mayenda, night and day from Mowbray throwing Hemir under the bus
