Most importantly for geeks like me it frees up the number 8 shirt. I’d love it if Rigg got it. He has the personality to own it as well, unlike giving Hemir the 9 last summer. I think it’s possibly more likely it goes to Browne though.

Browne has worn 8 & 11 in preseason when the players appear to have been sticking to their squad numbers. Rigg has worn 31 and Neil has worn 4. I reckon Browne will take 8

we do need a striker but I will die on the hill that people are grossly underestimating this squad considering it was dodds and beale's negative tactics that caused a big downfall. You play an attacking style with some of the talent in this squad and you do well imo
We’ll see

Staggered if we’re anywhere near the top 6 personally.

We will be playing an attacking style but we’ll be leaving an unnatural 6 exposed with Ballard and Calamity Jane alongside him at the back neither of whom are fast and one can’t defend once the games no longer in front of him. High risk high reward should be good to watch but could get caught out easily on the counter so down to the lads to prevent that happening.

People pinning too much hope on that play off season which was a miracle. It was a ****e championship and we squeezed in. I still maintain our current squad isn’t as good as that one, albeit with more experience in the younger players. Nobody is accounting for every other team also having young lads with more experience now and the transfers they’ve made in two seasons. I think if we make the signings we all know we need we’ll make play offs but without them it’ll be around 10th.

The young players also have a year or two more experience than then. Top 10 would be a much bigger achievement than last season, especially after the damage beale and dodds' reigns did.

Yeah that’s what I said but there’s also other teams who have young lads with more experience now it’s not just our players developing. 10th place would be a failure imo because ultimately we’d have failed to have been promoted to the PL in KLD’s 5 year window. But players would definitely leave so we’d have some proper money to finally spend.

Agreed. The likes of Patterson,Neil, O’Nien, Hume, Ballard etc are established and experienced Championship players now. I expect to see good things from Jobe this year and it looks like Roberts is fit and firing. If we can keep people fit then we have a shot at top 6

Defo rather than than him getting 11. Nearly vomited when he wore that in preseason!
