Who's gonna take the armband though, for me it's between 3, onien, Neil or Browne. A bit too early for brown in his career here and I think onien will carry on helping out the onfield captain so that leaves Neil for me, might be a bit young but he's experienced now and I think he would excel at it

Would be absolutely amazed if it isn't O'Nien, both as club captain and on field captain whenever he plays

Yeah however we need him soon
I am not so sure. Roberts has played well in pre season. Poveda is behind him for me. Option from the bench to start with and see how he goes from there. He is in the has to prove himself camp for me. Similar to Roberts when he came. Hope he can have a similar impact.

That's why we have a recruitment team now and not just an owner getting excited and buying a player the head coach didn't even want.

There's a bigger chance of failure shopping in the free agent/low fee market. In the championship last season, out of the out and out strikers that scored 15+ the only one who didn't cost more than £5m was Vardy, who is on over £100k per week. At some point we need to raise funds and pay for a forward.
Thats the problem. The club know we need an experienced goal scoring striker but it difficult to get one when your budget is £3.50 and a half eaten packet of monster munch

Exactly this he does need to prove himself
And I hope he come good

Just wish people would realize this
The striker chat is so ****ing boring now. If we don't win on Saturday it will be hell on again. I understand people's frustrations and I'd love us to sign a good one but it's clearly proving very difficult in current climate to get one. I think Speakman, KlD and Harvey have proved pretty flexible in their recruitment and are clearly trying everything they can to get one. We just need to be patient.

The thing people are saying is how can we believe that when we are seeing other clubs sign them no bother

FM Exclusive: Alexandre Mendy's advisor's cash outing on Pierre-Antoine Capton #SMCaen "I am astounded by the behavior of the former management. The Mbappé family has nothing to do with this situation and I thank them for the attachment shown to the player but what is happening today is a disgrace. A word is worth more than millions"

Reactions: Robertson
"First of all, and to make things clear, I wanted to thank the Mbappé clan who welcomed Alex and showed their commitment to the player. It is important to clarify for the supporters that the new investors are not responsible for this situation. Today, it is Pierre-Antoine Capton and Olivier Pickeu who have committed to letting Alex go, even freely. After more than two months of negotiations, Pierre-Antoine Capton has never intervened to keep his commitments and I hold him primarily responsible. As a former footballer, I am astounded by the behavior of the former management. How can we imagine that the player can be mentally ready for the upcoming season after having been betrayed in this way? I fight against all forms of injustice in this environment and what is happening at the moment is not tolerable. Trust has been broken.I would like to thank all the supporters for the messages of support for Alex, who carries SM Caen in his heart and who has always respected the institution."
It remains to be seen whether the different parties will manage to find common ground in the coming weeks. Determined to fly across the Channel to embrace a new exciting challenge at the Stadium of Light, Alexandre Mendy expects nothing less...
