That definitely is not the case, the issue is at a higher level. The recruitment department haven't stopped since last season.
I think the attitude of "if we're only £500k apart then we should just pay it" is wrong, and unrealistic. How many times do we just round up the payment without trying to get the best price? How much does it add up to? Is £500k actually a small amount to us? I really don't think it's that trivial.
If it was our key player and we didn't have to sell, would you accept less than the price we had stated? It's easy to say it as the bigger club, but if we had set Jaden's release clause as £10m and we got £8.5m, we'd be rightly annoyed.

He was a footballer who played in the Turkish Super Lig in the mid 2000s to 2010s. He came over here with Acun as a scout. He'll be more an expert in Turkish stuff than England. Beri Pardo and Stuart White will be the one doing the English side of stuff.
