Ugbo would be a good signing

As mentioned earlier Ugbo was one we always wanted. I personally think he was first choice over Mendy

It was rumoured to be around 5 mil so thought we’d get priced out as he’s not worth that. But is a brilliant investment at 2.5 mil

 

2.5m for Ugbo is a good deal. Get it closed.

That info, leaked to the Sheffield Star, just reads as Igbo’s people trying to give Wednesday the hurry-up. Would be very surprised if he doesn’t go back there.

 

At that price I do yeah. We offered that for Sinclair Armstrong and this guy is significantly better.

if we can act fast (lol) and sort it before sheff wed agree a payment structure 100%. Think Poveda can play a part because of their link up and also giving him a settled home which he’s not really had yet.

 

Yeah I see this point too. I feel he’d rather go somewhere he knows because of the way his career has panned out to date.

If they’re struggling with £2.5m then offer £3m and force their hand.

 

I imagine we can give more up front than they can.

 

If we’ve nipped in to start talks then we need to close this deal and get him in.

Him and Mendy with Mayenda and Rusyn as backup would see us looking much better.

There’s nothing in the way the club is run would suggest that is going to happen

 

Got told a long time ago about interest in ugbo but with how quiet it went did think price was a problem. Doesn’t sound it though

 

it's quite concrete that lad who reported it reports all of Sheffield Wednesday's news and has said we are closer to agreeing a deal and that ugbo likes the project. We just need to act fast
