Not with a 20 year old who hasn't played higher than league 2. It's time we step up the quality of players. Otherwise, we need to use our own younger talent.
If I'm honest I can't see him changing position again, he's worked for years now to optimise his game as a CB, CDM is a different position completely with or without the ball, he's played there before but not at championship level and never really did well in that position in League One If we sign someone to play ahead of him it's because he's already left to Middlesbrough and if not will cause him to go there, can't see him being too happy being 3rd or 4th choice at his age
I don't think he needs to but regardless I don't think the lad from Leicester is the answer, 9 years younger than O'nien and no proof he's any good at even League One level
I'm not sure about this lad so can't really comment on his qualities. If we could get someone like Egan alongside Ballard it would improve us drastically
Might be class in a few years time but I am not interested in more youth development for other clubs. Unless they are real high quality and already played at a good level. This isn't it.
Yep. Doesn’t make sense loaning inexperienced kids when we have our own. We need a solid CB who can come straight into the team or at least come in if we lose Ballard/O’nien to injury.
If it improves us I'm all for signing good younguns on loan. We're a championship club and whilst we're at this level we can't ignore the loan market. It doesn't necessarily mean we'll hamper our younguns as well. Could help raise the quality
Leicester fans seem to rate him highly but not sure it's one we should be taking a risk on, especially as a loan. I don't even think Egan is the answer, never really done it in a back 4. I like O'Nien but if you are going to replace him it has to be quality. My personal opinion is that they see Seelt in that role long term and this Nelson is just to plug the gap in the meantime
I rate 09 and I know many disagree but I think would be class in the hole in front of the centre backs destroying everything that moves. His distribution is great at the back maybe a doubt about him doing it in a busier space but he’s also developed as a player since the days he played there.
If they feel this lad is up to Championship football and we have a couple who they don't feel are championship level then they can go out on loan and gain experience it's good news all round. It could be a good chance to improve our lads and not leave us short
Rather we just signed experienced quality and sent our younger lads on loan. At some point we need to up the level of player we want to bring in instead of loan market.
it's not fake whatsoever - I can tell by a mile away it isn't - unless you're experienced with photoshop you'd have to cut him out of a previous pic, edit him into the strip perfectly with all the wrinkles, then add lighting highlights to make him look like he is there (see his head etc) then you'd have to add his fake shadow and then grain and noise to make it look legit. No one who is good enough to do that is wasting their time to do it
Ooh, interesting. Very highly regarded by Leicester. Quite a late starter not playing until he was 16. Has been kept in dev squads and prem 2 a fair bit. Last season he was a first team squad member under Maresca and played a handful of games where he was supposed to have been comfortable in possession. A mate of mine talks about him a lot, hence I trot this out with great confidence. He could well be a very good option for us, but you would imagine it isnt a good look for Triantis or Hjelde. Perhaps though we are setting our sights higher in terms of quality.
