One of those that isn't made for foreign football imo, would probably thrive at Rangers or something like that, happy to be wrong and he does well though.
Always remeber the day he posted 'A player with initials DB will leave today'. That day Bent signed for Villa. He was getting grief before that.
Poveda is a bit "meh" for me. Always been a good prospect but he's 24 now and hasn't really established himself anywhere. And its in a position we don't really need anyone.

Tidy enough player but just feel we have plenty of wingers I expect Jewi to be sold if he does come in and then Watson will likely be loaned out Will leave - roberts poveda on the right, clarke n mundle on the left with Ba being able to play both 5 seems a decent amount as Ba can cover a few position's Def need to start getting rid of a few players
Yep,we took 31 to Spain, including 3 or 4 injured players. The squad is top-heavy....without anyone coming in,could do with 4 or 5 being moved out.
I know it’s just a squad depth marker but I’d be so disappointed if both Roberts and Poveda were ahead of Ba on the right and he was just used as an impact player wherever he’s needed. Really hope he’s given the nod by RLB and kicks on this season I think he can prove a lot of doubters of wrong and become an important player down the right so we aren’t so reliant on Clarke.
I wouldn't worry too much, the lad's a real talent, just needs to learn how to channel it. He's the future, he must be gaining in experience all the time. I'm hoping he starts to come good this season.
Hoping so mate. Having plenty of other French speaking players and the manager around can only be of benefit to him too. Needs to cut out the pettiness like
Rusyn and Mayenda can both play wide too. Even with 9 on the bench we'd struggle to keep all the players we already have on the books engaged.
Yeah it was more just to highlight the squad depth, I've been a big advocate for Ba ever since he joined as theres 100% a very good player in there He needs to take better care in the final 3rd but i like the fact he gets in there to miss chances Poveda could also be the pick of the right wingers, saw him for sheff wed a couple times last season and he was unreal. Great work rate and he was a real threat in the final 3rd
If we do bring in Mendy, and Poveda, you've got to assume that's our business done right? Even if we loaned out Jewi, Watson, and Hemir, and sold on Anderson, Embleton, and Mateta, we're still left with a squad of 25 (plus Seelt, and Huggins). Not sure who else we'd look to offload? Maybe loan out Triantis and/or Mayenda again, but I think they'd both then need replacing. GK: Patterson, Moore, Noukeu RB: Hume, Pembele CB: Ballard, Hjelde, (Seelt) CB: O'Nien, Alese, Triantis LB: Cirkin, (Huggins) CM: Neil, Brown CM: Rigg, Ekwah RW: Roberts, Ba, Poveda CAM: Jobe, Aouchiche LW: Clarke, Mundle ST: Mendy, Rusyn, Mayenda Loan Out: Hemir, Watson, Jewi Sell: Anderson, Embleton, Mateta And crucially, is that squad good enough to get us promoted? Feel like we're a little bit weak at the back. I don't really rate Hjelde, and haven't seen enough of Triantis.
Still missing a 6 but we aren’t going to sign one now I wouldn’t have thought with Browne coming in. Him and Neil will be the 6/8. If Ekwah doesn’t leave I imagine his game time will be limited but he’ll still be ahead of Rigg coming off the bench you’d think. I’d like an experienced CB still.
