Which hotel mate? When in Sanur we usually stay at the Sanur Beach resort at the southern end. Obviously with the change to Kuta that didn't happen this timke.

Not too far away from there actually. We stay at the Sudamala Beach Resort. Already booked up for June next year.

Bloody hell that's at the end of the driveway. (I should have said the Prama)

If we'd have ended up going i can imagine we would have had many Bintangs at Warung Beach Breeze and Baby Monkeys :)

    I don’t drink Bintang………yeah right!!
Mrs K and myself adopted Linga Longa as our go to bar. I made a bet with the band there that I’d get up and do a couple of songs with them next year. I haven’t picked up a guitar in over 30 years and even then I was ****e, so it’ll be interesting!
We got chatting with the owner of Baby Monkeys last time we were there mind. We were invited to a party he was having to celebrate their ninth anniversary. Really nice bar.

Sat in Ponteland Airport and think I've seen more Sunderland shirts than Saudi tops. Happy days

Back from a week in Normandy playing golf with a group of old boys.

weather just about held up, and some fantastic courses out there. The ‘twin’ courses are Hardelot le Plages are wonderful - Dunes & Pines - the latter the older and pick of the two. One of the best courses I have ever played. The newer Dunes not far off it. At less than 200 euros for the pair, well worth the visit. St Omer further inland also a cracking course.

… no Saudi tops anywhere <badger>

anyway, looking forward to 12 days in Kefalonia late August for a family beach holiday. <cheers>

And sunscreen Vince. Skin cancer is a nasty thing to get. Factor 50 will still give someone a decent tan.

Went up to 43 here today. Weather app was saying it was expecting to go up to 46 no idea if it did like I wasn’t checking all day just every few hours. It’s still 38 and it’s 6pm :emoticon-0118-yawn:
