No surprises re Willock. Wouldn't have got much game time as being up for it in 1 in 3 games is not what would be tolerated. Let's see how well he does elsewhere. I mean, Cardiff? Or Sunderland? Really. As for Hayden, again, player taking the piss in my view. He wants £50K a week after professing his love for the club. In that case crawl over some broken glass to take what the club can afford. Oh well back to the real world and he can sit it out until he is released at Newcastle. I'm sure we'll keep the broken glass safe somewhere for his return.
2 more years on Hayden’s contract. He is apparently on £22k a week. No chance of him getting that, let alone more than that, with us. If they can’t offload him over the summer might be a chance of another loan. Or if Newcastle terminate his contract, allegedly possible, and pay him off he might compromise on wages for us. I’d take him, very good player at this level. But no time to waste dicking around on ‘will he, won’t he’ stuff.

Josh Bowler was one of ours ( bought by Everton for a million after one appearance)..he likes to score against us. One of Nottingham Forests big signings I remember...that didn't turn out well either. As Stan says...match winner couple of seasons ago. Then he got injured and met Gareth Ainsworth..that meeting seems to have completely destroyed him. So if you don't upset him and wrap him in cotton wool....he will be brilliant for you
It is typical journo total bollocks. Our highest earner is Ramsey, a senior international. He is said to be on £25/30k pw plus a share of revenue from shirt sales and other endorsements. Willock is not in the same league so £10/11k pw max.
Now Willock has left, are there any current players in the England team that are coming off contract that we could blindfold, kidnap and or be coerced to saddle up with us? Maybe offer Willocks 10k for 5 minutes at the end of a game to win it for us? Hope Marti can snare a half decent replacement.
