Managed it at Ipswich, coupled with a quicker younger striker it will work. Not sure how we can turn our nose up at proven championship goals when we currently have none in the team.

Whilst he won’t be profitable, surely that’s also decent longevity for a squad that’s struggled with consistency for a number of years? Now we could use the other spaces in the forward areas of the squad to take more risks and hope you can make some money out of them, knowing we could have Moore to fall back on if they don’t work out or are struggling for form.

Not every signing can be profit making machines, that’s a bigger risk than signing known quantities and if you fill a squad with them you never know what might happens

no Drew don’t be soft there’s a 18 year old who plays for Partizan we can sign I’ve seen his footy manager potential it’s off the charts

I get the fashionable meme right now is mock Kalman but he has a point.

FWIW I like Moore as a signing personally but it doesn’t negate the fact we should build a squad with some youth to have resale value. Cov sold Gyokeres and bought Simms for cheap. His value has now gone up.

As long as this isn’t the theme of the window then I’m for it. Proven goalscorer that will get goals

We’ve done well with Philogene and I dare say we won’t find a player or two like that, since taking over the clubs only gone one direction, if we get 2-3 years out of Moore for an reasonable fee for proven goals then no issue. Both can co exist to take the club forward.

Glatzel has more pace but he has good link up and scores similar types of goals? Not like for like but definitely similar mould? worded it poorly but they’re not completely opposite profiles ffs.

FWIW I agree with a lot of what you’re saying but you are just quite easy to take the piss out of when you’re head is as far gone as it is

Jaden was a unicorn I agree. To get a profit after one year potentially is huge. But there are plenty of players out there you can bring in and nurture for 2 years and either have them as major pieces or sell on.

Bristol City have even started looking at the J-League. A huge untapped market full of players capable of making the switch. Matsuki at FC Tokyo or Riki Yamane at Yokohama are ones that would literally fit in right now to our system.

Like I say we should utilise the Greaves money to invest in 4-5 hungry young players to develop. Yokusulu and Moore are great to add experience but I wouldn’t want a squad full of them
