I mentioned that before as a type of deal maybe they could do, i know Brentford have had his name going around there to, but i think we have an excellent chance to maybe bring him in.

I mean just as common sense we'd rather sell for 15 million plus Rak-sakyi to Palace meaning (15-5)*0.3 = 3m going to Villa leaving us with 12m + Rak-sakyi, than 18 million to Ipswich/Villa/Everton/whoever meaning (18-5)*0.3 = 3.9m going to Villa leaving us with 14.1m and no Rak-sakyi. We'd be getting him for 2.1 million basically. I am assuming the sell-on is on profit despite reports to the contrary.

I was going to post a similar scenario to what you just put best thing we could do is sell to palace, Rak-Sakyi is an excellent addition to add if we was fortunate enough to be able to get him.

We have tried for more than 18 months to get him and palace would not sell him to anyone we tried for a loan but got injured but now we have something they would like a bargaining chip.

Soon to be 32-year-old striker on massive wages and moves like treacle. Walter seems to play with a mobile centre-forward so we’ve brought Óscar back and signed Moore? Okay then.
He’s a proven goal scorer ffs you’d think we are signing Tom Eaves again the way you’re going on. Get a grip man.

A manager can’t have every player tailor made for his system, what I’m sure he’ll be very happy with is someone with 36 goals in the last 3 seasons. He’s 32 soon yes but he doesn’t rely on pace so why is age an issue?

Sorry for not jizzing my pants at the prospect of signing a carthorse like some of the imbeciles on here and on Twitter.

You'd also think we were competing with Portsmouth, Charlton or someone like that for his signature, not Sheffield United.

Kalman these 2 type of forwards we have missed Moore showed last season what he can do and helped Ipswich up we know what Oscar is capable of it does not hurt the team to have them in it, we are obviously bringing in younger players to so it's a balance and if you need a goal these 2 can score them without a doubt.

I understand your hesitancy, but it might be the case that he is using two strikers and one will be the pressing forward and the other more of a target man. One thing we lacked when Delap was injured was somebody to be a target man to bring others into play. Check out his goal here, play from the 2:00 mark.

Fair enough if you question the signing. You’ve always been level headed and had valid reasons backing up points you make. Last week or so though you’ve been acting like a kid whose been told he can’t go on his PlayStation #trusttheprocess

What system/formation does Walter play

At Hamburg he had Glatzel who was quick, mobile and very technical on the ball. Could drop deep and turn with the ball or make runs in behind. Quite similar to Delap. Óscar and Moore are the complete antithesis to Glatzel and Delap. Óscar and Moore are goal-poachers.

It's a 433 but it's going to be high intensity and high pressing. Having Oscar and Moore as your 2 strikers therefore doesn't make sense. We'll end up signing a more mobile striker either this window or the next and we'll be left with 2 expensive backups.

The only similarity between the 2 players is the team they play for. Rak Sak yi has actually had a good season in senior football

Well, not last year. He barely played, which is why I'm a tad concerned about signing him. I'd rather we went for Karamoko Dembele who had a cracking season for Blackpool and wouldn't cost a penny.

Or even better, give Sincere Hall a run, he's ace.

Seems that way on the surface but obviously Tim knows better about how he wants to play and what will and won't work, perhaps he fancies a change?

He never played because of an injury but also because palace obviously thought they had better available but was that not similar to philogene and villa.

Agreed on both. We desperately need a left footer though

I'd like us to sign both. Looks like Rak-Sakyi will be a loan and then Dembele on a permanent would be great.

I think Walter will sanction the sale of Oscar.

Yeah that’s what I thought, we really don’t need both of them

Potentially, but Philogene was further on in his development that Rak Sakyi and had just had a season at Cardiff and half a season at Stoke before then so they had a good idea of where he was at.

JRS had a loan at Charlton in League One and that was it, he then spent last season injured and playing for the reserves. I think Palace would let him go, I'm just not sure he would have the same impact as Philogene would.
