Wow, Luke's 7th season. Time flies.

He quickly became one of my favourite players here.
Commitment, work ethic, character etc. great lad.
In fact looking at the squad now to where we've been in the dark days it literally is like night and day.

I'd also echo earlier comments about Dodds. I think he's back where he is comfortable and is an asset to the club.

As for the new coach.
I posted a while back "we'll probably end up with someone not even on the list".
And whether Regis Le Bris
(love that name like, can't get it out of my head, in a french accent of course :D ) whether Regis was first choice or not, or even on the radar.
I am really excited about his appointment and feel we dodged a bullet with one or two who were in the running.

I've a good feeling about Le Bris.

I'd love to see O'Nien lifting the championship cup .

If you told me at half time of that first game against Charlton that he’d still be here 7 years later I would’ve called you a head case.

Fair play to L09, he’s a model pro and applied himself excellently these last 7 years.

I don’t/can’t go to games anymore but I’m the same as you. LO9 is a credit to himself, his parents and of course SAFC. If we had players with his attitude 10 years ago then we wouldn’t have dive-bombed through the leagues the way we did. I’d love to see him captain SAFC back to the Premier League.

Think the last word was they're going through the interviews. I'm just gonna wait and not worry about it as it's gonna happen some time

I just think it needs to happen soon,if we're to be ready for the start of the season.

Don’t think they are that important, in my opinion, we have a head coach and other coaches. No hurry in my eyes. Yes I want them in, but to worried about them.

RLB is very much a hands-on tracksuit manager who's involved in training ...

... so I'm sure things are already moving.

By the time other people come in the players should already have an idea of what's required. The friendlies are where as .any coaches, as possible, should be involved.

But I'm like you, the manager was the big issue and that's sorted so no real concerns.

Exactly my thoughts. We shouldn’t be concerning ourselves too much about coaches, that’s RLB’s problem now

I believe we will be. As per the echo article, O'Nien believes the 48-year-old former Lorient head coach has made an encouraging start.

"He's addressed the team a couple of times," said O'Nien. "We’ve gone over a little bit of the philosophy so far - he likes it when it goes into training straight away so, even though we’re only six or seven days in, the philosophy in the way we’re playing and the style is in there straight away, which is good.

"It gives us five more weeks to learn it for the first game of the season which I think is important so that everybody knows each other’s jobs, and he’s made that very, very clear.

"It’s not just focusing on yourself, it’s focusing on every single person so we all know what each other is doing which makes, as he’s said it, 'an unpredictable game a bit more predictable.'

"It’s been really enjoyable. I’ve enjoyed working with him and the running team have also been putting us through our paces both on the grass and in the gym as well."
