Putin-backed traitors patting each other on the back. String 'em up.
I am pro-PR and have been for years. However, I also have the right to be thankful that for once the ridiculous FPTP system prevented the growth of a populist xRW 'company' masquerading as a political party. And on that basis, someone with nominal intelligence
would avoid mocking those who appear to have suffered
worst at the hands of it.
The problem with PR is that you get weak government. The party with the biggest share is always having to appease the nutter minority to be able to govern. If this election had been decided on PR, the Tories and Reform would be able to coalesce to prevent Labour having any meaningful say. Under FPTP, Labour can make decisions.I am pro-PR and have been for years. I didn't miss it...One loss that many people probably missed was Ian Paisley Jr in North Antrim.
His father won it in 1970 and held it until his retirement in 2010.
Jr picked it up that year and held it until now.

We should make one of the Sinn Fein MPs speaker and then dub his voice on broadcasts, just for old time's sake.I didn't miss it...
Trouble is that he was replaced by an even more hardline nutter from Jim McAllisters party.
SF now are the largest NI party in Westminster and still will not take their seats. But the pressure is now well and truly on them to deliver and not just criticise.
Same will go in November in the Irish GE, although if the local elections are a signpost then they may well lose a lot of seats.
You are right of course, and at this particular juncture I think a large majority for a single party offers the best option to try and salvage what's left of the UK.The problem with PR is that you get weak government. The party with the biggest share is always having the appease the nutter minority to be able to govern. If this election had been decided on PR, the Tories and Reform would be able to coalesce to prevent Labour having any meaningful say. Under FPTP, Labour can make decisions.

Haha brilliant! We should make one of the Sinn Fein MPs speaker and then dub his voice on broadcasts, just for old time's sake.

On the contrary, the nutter minority is usually completely ignored by a coalition of parties which means the Government better represents the electorate. The problem with PR is that you get weak government. It astounds me that after 45 years of british politics moving to the right so much so that we have a Labour party right of Edward Heath's or Harold Macmillan's tory party you don't get it. During this period our society is more and more polarized between rich and poor and your solution is to want more of this 2 party dictatorship. Under this system the politicians chose rather than the voters. Most countrys in Europe have PR and most have introduced more radical changes than the UK. The UK is now bottom of the league in areas like wages, pensions, health, infrastructure, housing. The UK is failing and will continue to fail. PR government is not weak government it is government that has to listen to the voters. Our pathetic MSM and TV is fuelling the misinformation and continues to ignore the real issues to focus on scandal. The UK is asleep politically. The ONLY other country in Europe that uses FPTP is Belarus. The problem with PR is that you get weak government. I'm not defending FPTP, but pointing out that PR has flaws too.It astounds me that after 45 years of british politics moving to the right so much so that we have a Labour party right of Edward Heath's or Harold Macmillan's tory party you don't get it. Your second sentence here exposes one of the flaws of the first one.PR government is not weak government it is government that has to listen to the voters. Our pathetic MSM and TV is fuelling the misinformation and continues to ignore the real issues to focus on scandal.

But I suppose that the benefit of not having nominal intelligence.
I'll take that as a compliment - I think?Someone with nominal intelligence does not write "xRW 'company' in their discourse.
So I concur regarding the 'benefit' that not having it gives you.

You are describing the current situation and that's why it's broken. You tube offers a chance to see wider views of our world and the world. You have the question of scum bag nations? Don't look too far.Your second sentence here exposes one of the flaws of the first one.
The government listened to a section of the voters and we got Brexit.
Our media and the world's social media are failing everyone utterly.
Both have been overrun by disingenuous scumbags and hostile nations.
