I was impressed by the effort Hunt put into keeping his seat, including funding alot himself.
Tbh he saw the way the wind was blowing and concentrated on his own back yard.
The Tories have got rid off a lot of bad eggs...standing down or defeated. A few are left..suella Braverman comes to mind.

But a few good ones are left...but how will the Tories rebuild...I fear they will lurch to the right....which I know some people would embrace..but personally I fear.

Is your definition of a ‘bad egg’ simply somebody that you disagree with?

Farage has never in his life struggled to get media attention. I assume he'll continue a slot on GB News and do a lot of other media stuff. There may be an issue with a left wing biased Speaker in Parliament though. We'll see.

I wouldn't gloat too much. Starmer's problems are just starting, both home and overseas. Though with trusted colleagues like Calamity Lammy, what could possibly go wrong?

Bad Eggs are people who crash the economy causing people mortgages to get out of control

14 years have left the country bereft of money and international respect. He has a hell of a job.....he won't get all of it right. I just hope he can get some of it sorted

She’s not exactly the most competent and intelligent individual who’s ever walked the earth, so I’m not her champion, but my suspicion is that you consider her to be a bad egg just because you vehemently disagree with her views on things like immigration.

Yes, the economy is on the mend, but debt to GDP is poor, as it is with other Western countries. Starmer really will be tested with little honeymoon. NATO meeting next week, I believe. Although Labour's manifesto did not indicate it, everyone is expecting "tax and spend", since that has always been Labour's default position. We'll see how that goes down with the electorate. As Ubes said, only 19% of the electorate voted for Labour this time around

I agree. Some of the senior Tories were idiots (Boris/parties, Truss/arrogance with the money markets), most MP's did a reasonable job. Bravaman is not a politician of the past, but of the future imo. She reflects the European problems with mass immigration. She needs to learn to temper her language at times, but her time will come again. I see this Labour government as a short interregnum. The next government will be right wing Tory/Reform

I am not the only one who thinks she is a bad egg.. Robert Buckland used his defeated candidate speech last night to lay into her.
