He said he’s only been learning English two years (?) How is his vocabulary already better than mine?!

He is not a yes man, he just wants to try to compete over here.Watching the press conference now and Regis comes across incredibly well.
I know the term "Yes Man" has been thrown around a lot, stinking the place up but he feels like someone who will say yes and I am delighted.
I'm sick of people coming in knowing full well what the club is about only to turn around and whinge, throw down their tools and take a pay off when they decide they have changed their mind and they don't like it.
Sounds like he is positive about the club and the place, about the structure in place and the vision of the higher ups. Seems he is excited about leading a young team, developing players, working with the Sporting Director to build the quality and perhaps the experience in the squad.
His English is good, he seems very self assured and quite intelligent. I'm feeling very optimistic.

Keith was hired by Sky on the back of his sterling work sucking up to Sir David Murray at Rangers. His unique brand of sycophantic puff journalism made him a perfect fit for their Newcastle Correspondent. From the press conference
"Hi I am Keith", google translate, "I am the chief fluffer for the Saudi/Jawdi nation"
The club need to get that **** banned
Oh has he? I’ve missed that if that is the caseHe’s already said himself and it’s been reported he has final say

Very good post Disco and one point I agree with entirely.
This term 'Yes man' is daft and misleading imo, especially when people say Le Bris will be expected to 'toe the line'.
There isn't an industry anywhere that would employ someone who doesn't agree with the philosophy and working practices of that business. Of course the manager, players, staff, etc, will all be expected to agree with how things progress.
There's room for new ideas, of course, but there has to be a common goal and procedure as with any team of people.
As you say it's bound to end in tears if someone comes in, takes the money, then decides they don't want to work with the existing situation. Even worse, like Mowbray, when they clearly and openly criticise the club which, in my opinion, was a plan to cop the payoff.
So much for a clean slate, some people are already trying to find reasons to moan ...
... everything from his so called 'reluctance/inability/prevention' regarding bringing in his old colleagues to the fact that he 'no speaka de English' as one idiot chose to put it.
Of course he'll have flaws as a man and a manager, let he who is without flaws be the first to cast a stone![]()

"Kristjaan Speakman has confirmed that Régis Le Bris will have the final say on his assistant as the club continues its search for reinforcements to the first-team coaching staff."
"And he doesn't, at the present time, have a cohort of people that he's worked with probably more to do with his background [in academy football]. And he was really, really clear that he's got a profile around the staffing structure and we're currently trying to recruit another assistant to that profile. And then once we have that assistant in, that will have a knock-on effect, I'm sure, in terms of where we are on the other positions and where we want to expand or where we want to get maybe some additional detail into the staffing structure."

Hull only just got walter's assistants as of yesterday, was a good few weeks ago when they hired himWe are getting tight for time on it mind. I'd hoped the coaching staff set up would have been in place by now.
