I see the Reading game is at CCS but the first 3 are at the Sports Village. Not expecting many for those.
Pre-season is a funny old thing. Getting some minutes in the legs, getting used to a few challenges, trying to impress the boss.
Its not necessarily about the gameplan as they use so many combinations and change so many players. Its impossible to judge how the first few games will go from what you see in warm up matches. You'd probably learn more by watching training.
Is there any reason for not playing at CCS. They're hardly going to pull in the crowds, but it would give new players a feel for the stadium and the playing surface.

The last pre-season game I went to was Cheltenham away about 15 years ago. I was working in Cheltenham so popped in before driving home.

BT and I went to one there. A sunny Saturday afternoon, about 12 years ago. Can't remember the score but it was either there or at Yeovil that Ben Turner did his ankle and we didn't see much of him after that. Pity.

I have a feeling that was the first time that we saw the enigma that was Andrea's Cornelius for the first time.

It was a mid-week evening when I went.

The transfer values of all the Turkish team have rocketed tonight. Incredible save by the Turkish keeper right at the end.

A very good blood and thunder game v Austria. Every player from both sides gave it all in very wet conditions.

I know Riza has been brought in as an 'in possession' coach, but his background in developing youngsters may also work in our favour. Don't know if that was in the club's thinking when they employed him or if it's just fortunate.
Either way, let's hope it bears fruit.
It might save us a few bob, or even make us a few.

New Cardiff coach Omer Riza believes Cardiff have some good young talent on the books and hopes to see them flourish next term.

Cardiff brought through a number of youngsters into the first team last term, including Cian Ashford, Raheem Conte, Joel Colwill and Luey Giles, and they are getting stuck into pre-season this week.

Riza has worked with Leyton Orient, Watford and England's youth teams over the last decade, with his most recent post with the Hornets' first team ending earlier this year.

"I've worked with youngsters for the last 10 years. It's great to see youngsters developing at Cardiff and coming through. There are some good prospects and talent," Riza said.

I see on the club site we’re playing Hamburger SV in Austria on tour.
Wonder if a certain ex bluebird will be on the pitch:emoticon-0138-think
Edit: I see OS posted above

I've just seen that the Wendies have now signed their 6th new player for the upcoming season.

Not saying any of them are world beaters but at least they're having a go - WTF are we doing? <doh>
Yes, I was going to post something similar on the Championship thread. I guess we never know whats going on behind the curtains but our recent track record would suggest very little.
Perhaps it's about waiting for the Euros to finish.

There doesn't seem to much of any sort coming out of the club.
You'd expect the odd sound bite from Erol and Dalman even if they were holding statements.
Its just radio silence.
