Nobody would use it 'cos 'spatz' aren't usually pre-planned . . . . they just happen, on whatever thread is being used at the time.
We should all be civil, as we usually are even when we have differences

Fair enough....just a suggestion....you're the boss.

You just said you never said it but now you are saying you did, which one is it?

Hamish got a ban, rightly or wrongly, for what they said so it's pretty irrelevant talking about that considering they are the only one out of the pair of yous to receive punishment.

This is stupid, derailing and just annoying. This is a football board and this specifically is a thread about the head coach, not a thread for comparing posters to *****philes or personal attacks. First proper day of the new head coach and hopefully some news on coaches coming with him today is what should be on this thread.

So have a pop at the other people who came on this specific thread with attacks on the club while totally ignoring the new coach ... all the usual tedious shyte about Beale, BCB, Mowbray, etc. You seem fixated on me and what I say, never anyone else.

As it happens Hamish who fully deserved a ban, wasn't even on this thread, it was the now locked RTG thing ...

... I think I'm as good as anyone regarding posting about the thread topic.

But just carry on wanting the last word, there's a good lad.

Really hope Le Bris can build a back room team that’s he comfortable with. It’s so important that he has people he already has a bond and relationship with to help him implement his ideas and plans.

by the way I’m not against Dodds and or Proctor having involvement at some aspect of the first team as I also think a little familiarity for people is good at times of change but critically they also have to have buy in to the new coaches methods and approaches hence the need to have a really strong and aligned head coaching team

Think it's the next important news we're waiting for...who is RLB bringing in.

dodds and proctor have done some good work 'in the background' so to speak and by all accounts are very well liked by the players so i honestly hope they are involved somewhere but i hope reggie gets his own crew in, mainly because it should create a change in ideas and styles that i think the squad lacked last season.

Completely agree with this, it's all well and good chopping and changing managers and assistants but you will always need those coaches in the background nurturing the players.

How Dodds and Proctor get on in the new structure is very much down to their attitudes, as well as Reggie's.

He might not like the fact that there's a previous head coach there and will be looking over his shoulder. Dodds and Proctor could play politics with Speakman in their corner if they were inclined to. It's human nature to find it difficult to step back from being in charge. If Speakman were to go, maybe Dodds would go with him.

Ideally there would be no ego involved and it will all run smoothly.

Time for a totally clean slate imo.

I doubt RLB would've moved countries for a situation he's not happy with.

Dodds and Proctor, through no fault of their own, have become more significant than they need to be in the minds of supporters.

As I've said before this idea that Dodds will be spying on an RLB faction is daft imo ...

... in reality what could RLB possibly be trying to hide from the owner.

It's a team game and KLD seems to be putting a good one together.

Let's give them a chance before all the conspiracy theories start.

Agree with most of this, however, there is no doubt that D&P will have extensive knowledge of the players. It's absolutely vital, imo, that,if they are to stay.....and I hope they do......they have to buy into the RLB process. Fwiw,I think they will be happy to revert to their primary role of working with our young players and trying to prepare them for the first team. Hope so.

If D&P aren't happy with the situation they can easily go elsewhere although I hope they don't.

Sadly, as long as they're at the club, it gives some people convenient ammunition to fling around if there are any bad results or whatever. You can see the groundwork being started already tbh, some of our support love unprovable conspiracy theories to entertain themselves with. Personally I don't think they'll want to leave as they've done good work and seem popular with the players.

And I don't buy into the 'clique' theory either, there's no reason the players won't enjoy working with the new coach whether the coaches stay or not. Everyone involved want to succeed as much for personal reasons as anything else. This isn't the fifth form, or some office situation, with tiffs and daft grudges, they're all grown men ...

... the club has been careful to remove troublemakers and slackers, things are looking good imo.

Let's say for the sake of argument tomorrow, July 1st, is the first announcement/press conference for our new man.
What would be the first things you'd like to hear ...

... bearing in mind there'll be an immediate response, on social media, saying 'Actions wanted, not words'.
No doubt this will be from many people who are always demanding statements and words from the club.

My wishlist top three would be a clear statement that he's there for the duration however things start ...

... there will be a commitment to playing in a particular way with players in positions that suit them ...

... and that everyone at the club, new or existing, is valued and part of a real team.

I'm not interested in bold promises about promotion or play-offs.

That's a given imo and any predictions would quickly be taken as 'cast in stone' and thrown back at him if there's the slightest blip.

And after the Speakman/RLB clips guess what's been said by the usual suspects ...

... so predictable it's amazing they're not embarrassed to post <doh>

Catch up with Speakman...

Good watch that, its right that he's referenced the failings of last season, including his own and its also been an excellent week or so with the managerial appointment getting done, new contracts for some key players in the existing squad seemingly close, new players looking likely in the next few days and a superb kit launch being met with tremendous demand. Hopefully RLB will have been inspired by the fanbase and gets us off to a good start in the new season.
