Dua Lipa miming. Badly.

Where are the next generation of headliners? The bands you see years ahead and just know. Non existent. Idles are about the best, but too much of a blunt instrument.

We probably like different music but The Streets are good live and put on a show. They're on tomorrow

I've been aware of Dua Lipa, as I assume many have, for quite some time although I never paid her much attention.

So, before I watched her headlining Glastonbury I thought I'd better check her out. I have to say she has absolutely everything except the very basics. She has a good voice, stage presence & performance, beauty, etc. The production, on her music, is absolutely top class, the range of instruments astounding and the musicians around her are totally professional ...

... but, for me, there's no soul and I don't mean in a 'soul music' way. There's nothing I haven't heard before, she just does it better than most, she's a pop singer.

I've even read the lyrics to her top songs which have lots on interesting words and phrases ...

... sadly, for me, they don't add up to much more than the title.

I'll watch tonight and hope i'm wrong.

It sounds like music exclusively made to play echo through empty ailes in supermarkets.

Rotten stuff.

The streets will be mint. Seen them at glasto previously. Went by myself when all my mates went to see Beyonce. Was epic. Sunday night IIRC. Was like death on the Monday morning. Ended up on the session with a fellow streets fan who I discovered was a MLF from Hetton.

Wow, the Sugarbabes have bombed. Absolutely terrible.

I'd have felt sorry for them if they hadn't have been so enthralled with themselves in the cringy post-show interview.

They were fantasising about who they could collaborate with ...

... I'd suggest a choreographer, a stylist and a vocal coach <laugh>

Just before Skinner reformed them he done a dj set in independent, which was class. He was posting on insta of him in Blandford street <laugh>
