Aye. I was there too. I seen them when they supported Muse in Newcastle. Cost me 18 quid and they were supporting. They played yellow. Just yellow flyers haha. I am not into their new stuff but they have just smashed the global market.
They're far too subtle and clever for some people who want noise and bluster ... ... they can totally transport a crowd but do it stealthily. But, at the end of it all, music is strictly down to individual taste and everyone's entitled to theirs.
I really like their earlier stuff. Some belting tunes. Didn't get into the new and modern stuff but I would never discount their impact. Absolutely huge.
They're alright. A bit too rough to headline though. Maybe the Other Stage. It's a fine line to walk. Popular enough to headline the Pyramid, but not too popular to go into the 'bland mass appeal' category. Some bands managed to go global without losing their edge. Arguably you could make the Sunday headline slot the Legends slot and it would work better.
Busiest I have been with was the Stones at Glastonbury. Never seen out like it. Had to knock the back tents out for more space
Not for me mate. Acceptable tunes for middle class middle aged little England Best I can say they are better than Dua Lipa
