It was due to their stadium & Covid that they got ****ed over, can’t remember the exact details, but that’s what was said when they were arguing over their points deduction.
If we sold both for 30m we’ve done something wrong. Theres clearly a huge amount of interest in both. Let the price drive up
but we seem desperate to sell fast…cash flow issues maybe, I don’t know….but any bids north of £15 mill they are gone
Apparently West Ham can’t sell their best players, The two big players they were selling for big money can't be sold alverez is out for 6-8 weeks and paquta due to gambling
I don’t think we have a cash flow issue. It’s purely FFP. We need to sell before we can buy but the new year kicks in tomorrow.
I think we will see some players coming through the door regardless of sales but you would imagine the key signings will rely on those funds.
Would’ve thought they were pretty flush, regardless. They sold Rice for £105 million for almost pure profit last summer as well as shifting Scamacca, Vlašić and Fornals. They signed Álvarez, Ward-Prowse, Mavropanos and Kudus but I imagine their outgoings more than covered their incomings. They might turn their nose up at £45 million for Kilman alone but £40 million + add-ons for the pair of Greaves and Philogene might be more palatable.
Chris Willocks's contract expires in a couple of days, hopefully the club are in with a shout for that one as we desperately need multiple wide players.
Everton's potential new owner is also the owner of AS Roma, one of our partner clubs?? He is an American billionaire.
The key word is potential......we know from our own experience take overs do not happen fast.... cannot see any takeover happening within this transfer window
He's got somewhere between 30 and 60 days for his period of exclusivity and his team were here last week to do their due diligence, so if it's going to happen it will probably have to be agreed fairly quickly, though it will still be tight to get it all done ahead of the window closing.
