Alright lads, just said on the other thread I got locked out of my account and couldn't remember my password . Not sure if it's been mentioned but Le bris is part of that Sports Cover agency, KLD seems to have a good relationship with him/them so I wonder if there's anyone there we could target. Looking at their players they all seem out of our price range/definitely too good for us. There's one lad who they have called Begraoui who I mentioned on here about a year/18 month ago we were looking at. No idea if we're still monitoring him or if he's any good. But I wouldn't be surprised if we get someone from there thus summer.
@Bob the Mackem @Prehab26 @Magnus @Wheatsheaf and anyone else I’ve missed out who hear little bits and bobs. Thanks for ya hard work with the head coach shenanigans as it wasn’t easy with the absolute chaos which surrounded it but it doesn’t stop there I’m afraid because we’ve got a transfer period to get through ! Haway our ears into the dealings of the club !
Every chance isn't there. He's a huge lad, he's pretty quick and I remember his YouTube montage which showed he's got a rocket shot so his technique is good. The question mark has been over attitude and application, seems like the indications are he's realised that. Totally understandable if it's taken him a bit of time to settle in.
I’d bet anything that he doesn’t. Don’t believe he’s anywhere near good enough currently. I’d be looking to loan him out if we sign properly.
Sunderland are flying in top Australian keeper prospect Robert Cook for talks. next month. Cook, 17, is rated the best young shot stopper Down Under and can move immediately as he carries a British passport. The Perth pup's dad is English and he is desperate to come to the land of his father for a shot at glory. Meanwhile Sunderland will move out keeper Nathan Bishop to make room in their squad. Bishop signed from Manchester United but rarely played. Veteran Simon Moore is joining on a free to fill one of the gaps https://www.patreon.com/posts/106673227?utm_campaign=postshare_creator
Southampton also want a new keeper for the Premier League and are looking at a Sunderland's highly rated Anthony Patterson. Saints have lost Gavin Bazunu to a lengthy injury and do not want to rely on Alex McCarthy so they are chasing a shot stopper. Sunderland would want around £15 to £20 million for Patterson while Saints prefer to do business at about half of those prices. https://www.patreon.com/checkout/Re...edirect_uri=/posts/sunderland-to-at-106673227
Might have imagined it but I think there was a pic of him doing some kind of bespoke training program in advance of preseason.
Near the end of the season when he would come on he was working a lot harder and pressing a lot more also he noticeably had shed some weight to be leaner
For the sake of Young's development I would be trying to keep him for another 12 months, think we will have a ready made replacement in that time.
Southampton won't be interested in Patto. Martin values his keepers' ability on the ball above their more traditional keeping ability. Patterson is an excellent keeper in my opinion but his distribution and ability with the ball at his feet isn't his main/best attribute.
Be interesting to see what they do with Young. As long as gets senior game time somewhere and isn't in the u21s.
