Was massively against him at first, and still have some reservations, but above all else I'm pleased it's done, and I'm excited to see what he'll bring to Sunderland.

Guess we'll find out when he does his interview beginning of July.

When players sign don't they usually lift the quotes from a pre-recorded welcome interview which follows shortly after the initial website release/statement? I wonder if that's the case here.Anybody know how good his English is? I know his statement is good but obviously could be translated, or frankly written by anybody.
I've read he speaks excellent English but it was only a Lorient fan comment so can't verify it. I guess we'll find out fairly soon.

excellent. Yes looking forward to hearing him speak. Sounds silly but it’s a big part of it for me. Need to buy into him as a leader
