It's always a mixed bag hiring people and these days coaches and managers don't last five minutes. Premiership is only two years and most of the Championship had a different coach last season. Might have it all wrong but Still was easily distracted after having reached an agreement with us. Why didn't he honour it ? We shouldn't have to beg them to join us. Nobody knows the answer . Let's get behind the new bloke. Forget all this % win rate stuff . Can he do the job that's all we need. ? There'll be changes on and off the park . New season . Haway the lads.

Will Still can go and **** himself. he will never know what he has missed. Probably took advice off his granda at West Ham

Glad its over (if it is) hope the new bloke does the business, I dont get all the whinging and bleating, just give the bloke a chance
Dogs got you up early again

TBF I think the vast majority of the fan base will be supportive of the lad.
Let’s just hope he gets backed in the next month or so.

I can understand why people are a little apprehensive about the appointment. Not a great look after relegation last year.

Fingers crossed it goes well.

Reading that has me excited for seeing attacking quick football again.

Even if Clarke does leave I think we will bring in an as good as replacement to suit the system
i think you might find JC here for another year. not fact but hearsay. thats all.
Also, i spoke to Eric R this morning about him, he said i quote{ a nice guy has respect in the game, and he knows football, he called and we talked Sunderland on Wednesday night.
I told him about the passion, but he must beat Newcastle when they play}

Thats off Eric direct. im over there for 1st Champions league game.

I got up for a pee at 4, and grabbed my gear and went fishing, but usually they are whinging their bits off by 04:30 regardless. I am in bed at 9, if I get to 10 its like clubbing, not seals

Tbh I think he’s just joking here, but he is one of the culprits for WMS negativity, I’m all for opinions and that’s fine, but it’s everything that comes out of the club gets met by them with immediate bashing, like the Alicante trip for example, soon as the venue was announced the only ones that had any form of outrage was them
To be fair. It was a bit foolish to tell the fans to book alicante and benidorm to then get a venue 90 minutes drive away and no public transport to get them there

That's very interesting and positive that he took time out to speak to Eric, who has said some good things about him. Thanks for sharing :emoticon-0148-yes:

Absolutely sums up the situation for me we either have a gem on our hands or someone who was massively found out after a great first half season. Was he a one trick pony who was found out tactically or has he learned and can adapt. All the speculation is just words now need the club and fans to back him After Beale and Dodds for me a lot will be forgiven if he can just bring a bit of excitement and enjoyment back into our play
To be fair mowbray had a good first season then nit so good second. Lots of poor performances and results before he was savked

I hope that Newcastle quote was a bit light hearted fun,Bob, because we're planets apart these days.

When we reckon this will get announced then? The club quite like a Sunday teatime tweet, albeit that is usually to sack a manager...

Very true loved the way he tried to play and the confidence he instilled in the young players but definitely hit a wall tactically. Just hope this new lad gives it a go and gets us off our seats again.

I e seen us promoted relegated more time than I care to think was even there at our last fa cup win. I’ve realised after all these years all I really want is a team that played exciting football gets me of my seat and scares the life out of other teams We will occasionally fail badly doing that but that first season with TM was right up there hoping this lad can bring a bit of that back nothing like a Sunderland crowd when we are on the front foot
