This isnt just claiming about bringing in an assistant, many new additions and wide structure change. Think most would be okay if he could bring in his assistant and a first team coach, this is a significant difference potentially. Time will tell if lessons have truly been learned, but this is a total change from the Beale appointment, and one Im feeling excited about.
It is a completely different appointment to the Beale appointment. Beale would have brought a coach, given time. I don't believe that things were ever as rigid as some made out. None of this surprises me. It doesn't make logical sense; passing up the opportunity to improve due to dogmatism doesn't fit with the ethos they came in with. They tried to do things differently from the start.

I see the revisionism has already started though.

I've got nothing against Dodds and Proctor and I doubt many people do, it's obvious they were doing a job out of their comfort zone. I'd like them both to stay at the club in their old roles.

A good clear out is healthy though and good for everyone's mental health too. A fresh start is much more exciting than a continuation with a couple of tweaks.

It's needed no doubt. If it happens like it's getting spoken about, fair play to KLD.

No idea how good this bloke is but if it’s true that lessons have been learned then happy days.

Be interesting to see what type of player we go for now.

I didnt believe that we would lose out on a head coach because Dodds etc were being forced on them but I did think there were limitations on the amount of staff they could bring in. This appears not to be true. I can accept the club being rigid with having the final say on recruitment so we dont end up getting an unbalanced squad who suit different style of managers. But imo a head coach deserves a team to support him and help him deliver what he wants with the squad. It looks like we're giving RLB that support to help him be successful. Now he needs the missing pieces in the squad.
