I like Ozan but he doesn't quite fit how we played/plan to play and this is probably as good a chance as we will ever have to get some money for him.
Along with these: 9 from Carvalho 8 from Connolly 8 from Delap 4 from Twine 3 from Morton 2 from Traore 2 from Zaroury 1 from Lokilo So we have to replace 50% of our goals. Crack on, Tan.
I agree, but he is also our second best player in my opinion (after Greaves), so I hope we're getting decent coin for him.
Only way it makes sense is if it’s a decent fee because he’s in the last year of his contract but that’s another crucial player that needs replacing. Tufan would’ve been a key player in a three man midfield. Our squad honestly looks so crap because we’ve been heavily reliant on loans and now it looks like three of our best players in Tufan, Greaves and Philogene will leave soon.
Sad but from the reports in Turkey they’re offering him a 4 year deal. If he was still to be with us in 4 years, we won’t be where the powers that be want us to be so I assume we can’t offer him that level of commitment. A decent fee and it probably makes sense for everyone.
Tufan was the only signing Acun pushed for that was any value for money considering he spunked £8 million on Sayyadmanesh and Sinik. If we sell Tufan and replace him with Zajc I’ll be massively pissed off.
Being Being in this much FFP trouble whilst subsequently also having about 10 first team players doesn’t strike me as good squad building. Heaven forbid you question the owner though. You’d have half of botanic’s regulars sparing time form the mouth that feeds them to come to his defence
There's no chance Tufan was ever going to be a key player and despite his goals he never has been either, an expensive squad player. I've never set foot in the botanic.
Not really, unless you're trying to make something be there that isn't. Ozan would be daft not to take a 3+1yr deal back in his home country at his stage of career for example....
All depends on structure and what's been paid, worst case it's high wages off the books and a decent fee for a player who leave on a free next summer anyway
We’ve been over reliant on loans and a lot of our good transfers have been loan players. Over spending on some right crap with Sinik being forefront of that. Then to top it all off we’re apparently against it FFP wise but have about 10 first team players. Thank god Walter is a charismatic bloke allegedly because he’s likely going to have to get about 20 new players to gel at this current rate. And there’s no way we get our major transfer business done before season starts with euros and Olympics causing some bigger clubs to delay their business
