I don’t believe it matters what ‘wing’ you are on. Both are known for racism but that shouldn’t mean every individual is judged on that basis.

The extreme left = Hatred of Jewish people, a belief that other races prioritised over white people. Communism.

Extreme right = Hatred of people who aren’t white. Doesn’t want any immigration at all.

Both as dangerous as each other.

The left hatred of Jews (Israel really) is because they think Jews are White though, which just shows where the real animus is. There are examples of Brown colonialism and slavery, but they're not interested in that at all, which leads me to believe it all boils down to animus against White people. Happy to be convinced otherwise on this, but after 100 conversations it hasn't happened yet.

I also think it's a caricature that people who don't want mass immigration hate people who aren't like them, apply this rule anywhere on earth and you'll see that.

And why are these people crying, if it's because they can't get their own bigoted way that's one thing ...

... if this person is attacking decent people, and making them cry, that's totally racist.

But, unless I know who's crying, and why, I wouldn't really know for sure.

The key words here are bigoted (bad guys) and decent (good guys), so you're saying it's okay to drink the tears of the bad guys and bad to drink the tears of the good guys.

I could extrapolate bad to mean White and good to be non-White, people on the left don't even see the level of programming they have, can you even imagine a scenario where these roles are reversed? If so, imagine them often, daily even to reprogram your mind and perhaps find some semblance of middleground.

I've seen the phrase 'white-adjacent' used online to describe asians and Jews to justify some horrific views towards both.

OK, what you're doing is extrapolating away like you have some preconceived road you want me to go down.

I don't appreciate being told I should reprogram my mind based on your guesswork about what I think.

You seem to be well rehearsed at all this, all these terms etc, and come across as a bit of an evangelist tbh.

This thread seems to be going down the road to a debate about racism and has been since Farage decided to run.

I've seen these 'debates' before and they're endless and pointless imo, I'll leave it there.

I can break you out of this, if you're willing to be broken. If racism is the ultimate evil, let's confront it head on and see exactly what it is. My offer stands.

You're talking as if what you believe is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I'm instinctively suspicious of anyone so absolutely sure of themselves and their beliefs.

I didn't say I believe racism is the ultimate evil, you're trying to put words in my mouth again which I don't like.

I don't need to be 'broken out' of anything by strangers on the internet ...

... thanks all the same.

I thought the hatred of Jews is either to do with the conspiracy theorists or people siding with the religions and people that have always been at loggerheads with Israel and the Jewish people.

None of the main political parties has yet set out convincing plans on how they will improve the NHS, a leading health think tank says.

The Health Foundation said on current spending projections there appeared to be a £38bn-a-year shortfall in England in what would be needed by the end of the next Parliament.

The think tank said that would put plans such as tackling the NHS backlog, improving GP care and redeveloping hospitals at risk.

Neither Labour nor the Conservatives have said how much they will invest in the NHS, while the Liberal Democrats' pledge is well short of what the Health Foundation says is needed.

These were the only three parties the think tank looked at for its analysis.

This subject is probably the most complicated one.

This is how it seems to me:

From the left I believe the main driver is the subjugation of the Palestinians (brown people), which is absolutely valid, however because of the nature of the peoples involved it comes with the accusation of antisemitism, as a work around you get a sort of evasion where zionism and Jewishness is split in the leftist mind, so as to not be racist, and even just an outright tying of Israel to other colonialisms, conflating them as White ie "Israel is European settler colonialism", in a way obfuscating the Jewish role in favour of blaming Europeans which has little to no backlash.

On the right you have a different problem, you have right wing working class people siding with Israel because there is conflict in English towns between the indigenous population and Muslims, things like the grooming gangs and simple demographic shift amongst other points of tension, most of these people are sadly not that bright and side with Israel to sort of strike back against Muslims.

There is a third type which is neither left nor right which is an analysis of wealth and power in society, which probably more closely resembles what you have said here, that is a lot more complicated to get into.

This strain of thinking is why the left are losing (Labour are not the left btw), especially with young men, it's also why they'll never really grasp what is happening because they think the right is simply abhorrent, make the worst caricatures of them and think of them so morally beneath them (scum, racist, evil, gammons, supremacists) that it's not valid to understand their grievances.

There's some polling showing Reform at 24% from yesterday and the Tories at 15% and we still have 2 weeks to go, strap in for a bumpy ride. I had pollsters at the door last weekend and just told them I'm undecided, I wonder if others are also doing that.
We had the same, looked a lad about 9, asked him numerous questions, couldn’t answer any of them, so I just told him my wife is still thinking about who I’m voting for <laugh>

Sadly, when things like this are so frequent there's a feeling it becomes accepted as the norm.
I was going to add like Boris doesn't believe normal rules apply to him, maybe this has rubbed of on a few (I hope it's only a few - mind you, lot of young people think it's okay to flaunt rules such as drop litter from your car while pulling away from lights, ignore disabled parking, bus routes, and use mobile phone while driving). I blame Boris for a lot of morale corruption.

It's definitely a culture-wide problem now, the thing is how do you correct that sort of behaviour? You crack down on it, make people pay the price for being dicks. Who's willing to do that?
