Just to clarify something:

WORLD-CLASS definition: 1. Someone or something world-class is one of the best that there are of that type in the world.

That's from the Cambridge dictionary but Collins and Oxford agree. Kane doesn't have to be one of the best ever, that's simply never been what defines world class and wouldn't make any sense. It's whether they are the best, one of the best or as good as the best in the world. If Kane isn't world class then you'd need to suggest a few people for his position currently playing who are better.

Lewandowski? Maybe. Fullkrug? Lol.

Would Fullkrug fit the team better though? I hadn’t heard of the **** two weeks ago but I reckon so.

In some ways I'm just playing with you mate ... much as I did with the lightweights previously ... although I do honestly think he's short of World class - last Englishman I'd put in that category would be Gascoigne... have to admit, got great hopes for Bellingham 'tho ... different gravy <ok>
What did gazza do in his career to warrant being world class ffs?

World class pisshead yeh<laugh>

Haaland, and maybe Lewandowski, those are probably the only strikers you could seriously rate over Kane, out of the players who are playing right now.
Fulkrug <laugh>

No, Lukaku had one good season at Everton, and two good seasons at Milan.
H e has done **** all else in the other 10 or so season of his career.
Maybe you could have argued at his peak Lukaku was world class, but that didnt last very long

Nah mate - failed at every major tournament for his country and his goals record against the Big 6 was abysmal <laugh>

The obvious definition of world class is someone who could be seriously argued to be in a World XI which Kane at least at one point if not now was.
I'd argue that the criteria should also include a player that you would have in the team for the biggest games in the world The CL final for example.

There could just be a lack of world class strikers at the moment.

Fair enough but realisitically I just don't think you'd have an out-and-out striker in a current world XI as a team with Mbappe and a bunch of other forwards would probably be stronger. I'm not convinced I'd have Haaland or any of the alternatives above Kane if I was playing a traditional striker so he'd end up being my default choice if I had to.
