The beeb reporting that the game might be called off due to a combination of flooding and the fan violence! Not good, I got Turkey in my works sweepstake ffs! Not that they have a chance of winning the tourney mind, but still.....
Turkish super kid - the real 'new Messi' - Arda Güler up next ... Georgia have Lipsynch Millivanilli but he's pretty ****....
No, that would be the qualification requirements for a world class team, not a world class player. Teams win trophies, not players.
... that sort of makes Lukaku world class too ... although Lulu has won a lot more than Hazza tbf ... If you took out the number of penalties Hazza wouldn't have won the 2015/16 Prem Golden Boot- not sure about the others he's won ... World class players make a difference in the biggest games on the biggest stages ... now if you can give me one example of where Hazza has done this - I'll leave it there ... No rush ...
You dont think scoring 25+ goals a season for your club as a striker for like 10 years on the bounce, winning multiple golden boots, is special? I mean, in terms of Spurs achievements, its pretty much the ****ing pinnacle, but even individually, thats a feat.
The point about Lukaku is that he doesnt have the longevity that Kane has. The old saying, form is temporary, class is permanent is apt here. There have been plenty of strikers who have had extended purple patches, scoring 15-20+ goals in a season, to then fade into obscurity, or at the least never reach those heights again, like Jamie Vardy . But to bang in over 20 goals a season for 8-9 years on the trot, that tells me its class.

I wouldn't worry about it Bod. Every literate person with eyes and a brain is going to agree with you on this point.
I don't think so. Once you've hung, drawn and quartered someone there's got to be a point at which you actually stop.
I think that makes him a very good footballer - without question ... but notice you couldn't come with a big game / tournament where he's proven that label ... will still wait ... no rush. But would Napoli have won the students without Maradonna? - would that Argentina side have win the World Cup? - can't prove it - but doubt it very much - that's a world class player ... Maradona, Zidane, Cryuff, Messi, Ronaldo, Pele, Eusebio, Fat Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Beckenbauer, Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton, Gullitt ... are you really suggesting Harry Kane walks in that company? ... Let's just say our parameters are very different...
