Apparently an Englishman( Thomas Rawlinson) invented the kilt.

Probably showed his new invention to his English mates and they laughed at him and told him to behave himself.

Went North of the border and dressing like a bird appealed to the blokes up there and he was quids in.

Celebrated with some offal, shortbread, Irn Bru and heroin.

I fully appreciate that the above is a very lacklustre generalisation of our Scotch cousins.

do you honestly think england is a better place to live than scotland?

I’ve never lived in Scotland.

uni is free
prescriptions are free

then again, its the same in most places, like Germany, norway, denmark etc

but scotland has some of the most pictureesque places in the world
also a lot less murders n stabbings than in england even per capita
although london is the biggest reason

408,000 people who were born in England live in Scotland.

794,000 people who were born in Scotland live in England.

So nearly twice as Many Jocks live in England than the other way around.

they still are the colours of the fa

Yes. Should have put it as they were the colours when first established. I think they did change at different times and then came back after WW2 as white, black and red was problematical. Only going on something i recall reading. May be mistaken.

That is about 16% of Scotland’s population living here. If the same ratio had gone from England to Scotland that would be nearly 9 million. Since WW2 the population of England has increased by around 12 million whilst Scotland’s has remained static. If Scotland is that wonderful why haven’t they flocked there? He didn’t mention that in the Scottish wonderland that the life expectancy is lower than ours and that drug and alcohol related deaths are the highest in Europe. Doesn’t sound like everyone there is kiving in a state of bliss,

I've worked all over Scotland and it's the on place that comes close to the beauty of Yorkshire. The only bad thing to happen to me in Scotland was on a Friday night in Glasgow when I ended up with a scar across my beak.

Who has said Scotland is wonderful and people live in a state of bliss?
