Apparently an Englishman( Thomas Rawlinson) invented the kilt. Probably showed his new invention to his English mates and they laughed at him and told him to behave himself. Yes. Should have put it as they were the colours when first established. I think they did change at different times and then came back after WW2 as white, black and red was problematical. Only going on something i recall reading. May be mistaken.
That is about 16% of Scotland’s population living here. If the same ratio had gone from England to Scotland that would be nearly 9 million. Since WW2 the population of England has increased by around 12 million whilst Scotland’s has remained static. If Scotland is that wonderful why haven’t they flocked there? He didn’t mention that in the Scottish wonderland that the life expectancy is lower than ours and that drug and alcohol related deaths are the highest in Europe. Doesn’t sound like everyone there is kiving in a state of bliss,
I've worked all over Scotland and it's the on place that comes close to the beauty of Yorkshire. The only bad thing to happen to me in Scotland was on a Friday night in Glasgow when I ended up with a scar across my beak.
