Got Barrow into the Football League playing very pretty football. I think people (jokingly) said it was like watching Barcelona. Got Bolton up from League 2 playing a similar way. Loves to attack.
I think he might have shares in Bolton though so I don't know if that would be a problem. Only 42 ish

I've vaguely followed his career because his first spell at Chesterfield coincided with a time when I used to go and watch them from time to time.

Here's an interview with him https://www.coachesvoice.com/cv/ian-evatt-bolton-barrow-blackpool-derby-qpr/
Thanks for that. Very interesting.

I've no problem with any of that, I just believe it's more professional to do it 'in house'.

When it's done in press conferences it starts to sound like the manager making excuses and wanting to bale out.
My biggest issue with Mowbray was getting Slaven to gob off afterwards or at the least giving him the opportunity. Just go with respect. Cracking bloke but his emotions get the better times.

I havent mate no.

I have seen his Bolton side a bit and they always impress me. He wants a heavy possession side, but recognises how when you are in the final 3rd it is about shots on target that matter. He likes options in the number 9. I have a mate who lives in Barrow and watches them a lot. When he was there he would play possession football in the national league, when nobody else was. Apparently he wouldnt be told otherwise and I like that in a coach.

Also, daft point, he was at Derby under Jim Smith. Not a popular opinion, but he was a real football man and I have heard him talk about the influence he had. Smith was of an era of men who simply worked with players and had great man management skills.

Probably nowt in it mate, but he is one of a few coaches in leagues 1 and 2 who could step up and go far.
Thanks also. Someone I'd never heard of.

Ok fact, Hecky not been here at all today, he's been on a golf charity day.
Also no new approach from the club to Paul or his agent.
The club is now no longer available for at least the next 18 months, and probably a bit longer, so we can relax on that point.
And the club are gonna have a real go this season, it will be very interesting the next 2 month.
Sorry that's all I know.
