Of course. But we can also believe not having a coach by a certain point is poor fr senior management.

Whoever it is has already missed out on key things like end of season reviews, retained list, early sight of free tfrs, video analysis time, player 1 to 1s, assessment of player fitness levels from last season, detailed reviews with existing coaches, working with Murty on who might join pre season. All of which leads into help plan pre season and help plan targets for incomings. They are failing to help their coaches deliver in my opinion. I know this is a grim picture, but in my opinion it is entirely fair to call out, and reasonable. Whoever gets the gig I am behind 100%, and I give them a lot more time due to how much catch up they will have to do.

Got Barrow into the Football League playing very pretty football. I think people (jokingly) said it was like watching Barcelona. Got Bolton up from League 2 playing a similar way. Loves to attack.
I think he might have shares in Bolton though so I don't know if that would be a problem. Only 42 ish

I've vaguely followed his career because his first spell at Chesterfield coincided with a time when I used to go and watch them from time to time.

Here's an interview with him https://www.coachesvoice.com/cv/ian-evatt-bolton-barrow-blackpool-derby-qpr/

Of course we can believe it but it's pretty much conjecture tbh.

Saying things like 'Or those telling them what is needed are cast aside as idiots' is a bit strong imo.

No offence but you're not actually telling the club what's needed and you don't have all the facts.

I haven't seen anyone call you an idiot either, you have an opinion just like the rest of us ... fair enough.

It will be down to a number of things, things always are. I’d be surprised if he wasn’t part of it though.

I don't think so tbh, if it happens it'll be after a manager is appointed and quietly.

    I havent mate no.

I have seen his Bolton side a bit and they always impress me. He wants a heavy possession side, but recognises how when you are in the final 3rd it is about shots on target that matter. He likes options in the number 9. I have a mate who lives in Barrow and watches them a lot. When he was there he would play possession football in the national league, when nobody else was. Apparently he wouldnt be told otherwise and I like that in a coach.

Also, daft point, he was at Derby under Jim Smith. Not a popular opinion, but he was a real football man and I have heard him talk about the influence he had. Smith was of an era of men who simply worked with players and had great man management skills.

Probably nowt in it mate, but he is one of a few coaches in leagues 1 and 2 who could step up and go far.

Not referring to me. I am an idiot <laugh>

I think Mowbray was cast aside personally for calling out some of the problems. But I have no expectation of the club caring 1 jot about my opinions...

I've no problem with any of that, I just believe it's more professional to do it 'in house'.

When it's done in press conferences it starts to sound like the manager making excuses and wanting to bale out.
