I just don't want to argue with someone who never gives an opinion, just lists things that have been posted 1000 times before.

I asked you one question and you come back with a question ...

... but expect me to jump to it and answer all of yours.

Sorry, you're just not putting forward anything new, interesting or informative.
You are the one that is just talking in riddles.
Did our owner say he wants to take Sunderland to the Premiership, yes
Do the actions of our owner last season say to supporters that is someone who is serious about taking Sunderland to the Premiership, no.
Are the actions of our owner last season the reason why it may be putting off potential candidates to say yes to becoming our head coach, I'd say it's a very good possibility.

So, are you saying he doesn't want promotion and, if not, why not?

Presume we need permission to talk to him. but this could have been going on behind the scenes if QPR want to manage any announcements

The story I was given was that we asked permission which was turned down, the club informed him of their decision and he's put pressure on them to change their mind. They won't make it known because, if he eventually decides to stay, it'll sour his relationship with the supporters.

As I say, just a story, and the lad was saying it was just a story he'd heard, not any real source.

I'm not from over the road, I packed it in years ago, but I do remember you, how you bullied posters, nothing changes does it Riv.

FFS, I asked a simple question ...

... if that's bullying I think you need a new dictionary.

I'll stop my terrible attacks on you now, I can't apologise enough.

Oh and, everyone knows I'm Riv, don't think you're being clever.

hoping for a friday 'reveal'.

i am none too fussed who it is (within reason, of course) we all know good managers/coachs fail every season and get sacked while those lesser known keep bulding their C.V.s nice and steadily...and any one of them could arrive here, get the backing needed to boost the current squad, who can play some damn good football when the mood is right.

the regime/coach just need to do what is needed and meet half-way, every coach needs to have say in players etc and most (if not all) would really want their own team with them rather than being thrown into a 'ready made group' as that never works (speculation of course), lads need to know they have support.

as for speakman, i really do not want to get into the current fad that he is the man to blame for all things bad...he was hired by KLD which means he may well be simply working to the remit he is given, remember Bain and all the sh1t he got?...he was given a remit of lowering costs and for all we hated watching it unfold he only did what he was told, now i like the way things are although there are some obvious changes that need sorting to get the squad back to entertaining us again, we cannot have another season like the last one so the next few weeks have to be done right, get the coach in and back the lad, simples.

Good post mate ... a new man in, window opens and the mood can soon lift.

I don't think it's a relegation match but I do fear that if heckingbottom is appointed he will be up against it from day one with some of our supporters. It's not an inspiring choice after all this time. I'd get behind whoever it is but I'm sure there will be lots who won't and see it as just another cheap out of work option.
Which it would be
