To be honest, and I think most will agree, we're a championship club in the far flung North, we aren't as attractive as we would all like to think. You can imagine some of the gaffers wives "I'm not uprooting to go up there". Not being Negative, just realistic. It took Kevin Phillips to see the stadium before he fully committed. It must be genuinely hard to get who you want to commit to living up here. We'll just have to wait and see who takes the job.

I've still seen nothing concrete to even suggest he's a candidate. It's been fan driven from the start.

There's no reason we couldn't convince him though imo. The fact is that he was sacked from AZ and Ajax have just overlooked him. Unless he's a contender for the Feyenoord job then there's no room for him to progress in Holland.

Understand that previous reports from other outlets linking David Challinor and Stephen Robinson are wide of the mark.

The two are not under consideration by Sunderland at this time.
