If Challinor was ten years younger and hadn’t been such a stodgy, almost novelty player, more people would give him the benefit of the doubt. That and if he clearly wasn’t about 15th choice.

Nothing comes into it other than the fact he has never managed higher than league two

would be terrible

You have no idea what the shortlist is tho, none of us do

Hate the term happy clappers - think its pathetic when its thrown out there
It’s an awful argument, a certain few on RTG blamed last season on “happy clappers” and the current situation.

I’m in the middle, I criticise the club when warranted but I don’t go overboard like a few.

End of the day we all want SAFC to do well,

Rob Edwards had 2 championship games as Wolves interim, finished 1st in League 2 (like Challinor) with FGR, got the Watford job and was undeservingly sacked then took Luton up both within his first full season as a championship manager.

The jump is irrelevant, it's all about the fit.

Nixon must be pissing himself laughing reading some of the comments on here, sticks 3 blokes on a list says it’s our shortlist and boom have we all not learned he knows nowt about our club and just loves stirring it
I think it's right to debate it, just in case he's right, but without losing one's **** in the process. The list seems so alarmingly disparate that you have to question it's authenticity because choosing between Jansen and Challinor means you are considering 2 wholly different coaches with different tactics and approaches which makes no sense to me at all.

Nixon is only right the next day

Whether we like it or not, we have to trust them to get it right. Think I preferred the days without the internet when the only time you heard about who was getting the managers job was when we saw it in the paper!
yes your right of course we all hoping that it Nixon talking bullshit again hope the club can restore some faith and get it right like we all do

Looking like he's chosen Lens. If so, hopefully put to bed & they confirm it soon.

Hope we've got someone sorted & ready to be announced. Also hope the sticking point with every candidate isn't that they can't bring their own team & must work with Dodds & Proctor.

I suspect if we go for Jansen, he'll be working with Dodds as his assistant.

Jansen's assistant is now the head coach at AZ, so unless he's got other people he wants to work with, he might be stuck with the dildo twins

Aye this is true. There’s a couple of personalities I’m not keen on but I’d cheer if we won games, equally there are a couple of surprises in the list and not in the list but if they join and achieve I’m not bothered who it is. The judge is how they do. I think the fans need to start backing coaches and stop being hard work.
