Getting closer...thought I'd just post the line up and stage times for now.
Love the coverage of Glastonbury, the BBC really do get this one right.

**** that ****

If there was maybe a Blu Radisson Glasto, with a shuttle bus to some sort of VIP /Corporate area with a free bar then I'd be in.

Otherwise. It's a no from me

Not a great line up imo. Will watch Coldplay mind. Orbital will smash it as usual as well. Their live show is still outstanding.

Been to loads of festivals but never Glastonbury, I should probably make the effort, but it's too far home with a lifting hangover for me <laugh>

I'd spend Saturday night watching the Streets and disclosure. The rest are average imo. Paul Heaton is a hero of mine but he needs Jacqui with him now, I'm not sure if she's still ill or not.

Some of those band names are mental like, never heard of 70% of them.

Dua Lipa is a lads fan so I might watch her <laugh>

I think this year is the first year ever that I can genuinely say I've never heard of one of the Headliners. Even when I'm not a fan of their music, I'm usually aware of them but ****ed if I know who SZA is.

Absolute dearth of new talent there.

There's only Yard Act I'd be bothered seeing. Shania Twain on the legends slot? She had two hits in the UK. And you've got to endure Paloma Faith (club singer style) to get a good spot anyway.

I know the majority but overall it’s a poor line up. Shame

It’s on BBC 2 now. Highlights from last year.

I've been aware of Dua Lipa, as I assume many have, for quite some time although I never paid her much attention.

So, before I watched her headlining Glastonbury I thought I'd better check her out. I have to say she has absolutely everything except the very basics. She has a good voice, stage presence & performance, beauty, etc. The production, on her music, is absolutely top class, the range of instruments astounding and the musicians around her are totally professional ...

... but, for me, there's no soul and I don't mean in a 'soul music' way. There's nothing I haven't heard before, she just does it better than most, she's a pop singer.

I've even read the lyrics to her top songs which have lots on interesting words and phrases ...

... sadly, for me, they don't add up to much more than the title.

I'll watch tonight and hope i'm wrong.

Mini Housemartins reunion there - Norman Cook got up with Paul Heaton.

Not impressed by his new singing companion though. You need someone with a lower range to complement him.

Big Sunderland flag up front.

**** line up. Normally have the bands mapped out I want to see and make sure I am ready to watch or go (if I am there)

So poor this year. Depth is lifting.
